Coronavirus and the Scottish Championship

Easy, top Those clubs in the play off places get automatic promotion e.g the top 4 in the Championship etc.

So it's unfair to allow QOS to finish above Partick and be in a higher division next season, because games arent completed, buts its perfectly fair to allow Ayr to finish above Arbroath and be in a higher division next season, despite the fact both Partick and Arbroath have games in hand?

Don’t relegate anyone and give a compensation fee to those who miss out on promotion.

Of how much?

ICT claimed their income dropped off by nearly £1m after relegation.

Arbroath are 4 points adrift of Ayr with a game in hand, idiot.

The heads gone from dabs on here regarding Dundee having an agenda is quite delicious.

Of course they've got an agenda. Everyone involved has got an agenda.

Like I said no outcome really changes Dundee's position.

So you do think it is fair to relegate and promoted teams off the back of a knee jerk 2 day vote?

Is it fair to promote or relegate teams when not one has earned it?

You really need to read things fully before replying.

There's no fair outcome only degrees of unfairness. I've no issue with Dundee or any club voting either way or, indeed, choosing not to vote. The current proposal clearly didn't offer enough to Dundee to convince them to support.

Your first line is just disingenuous tosh. Voiding the season and denying United promotion will sit very well with the Dundee fans. Increasing the size of the Premiership would benefit Dundee (whether that means they go up this season or have a better chance next season). Tweaking the current proposal to introduce limited play-offs benefits Dundee. Paying financial compensation to teams in the play-offs positions would help Dundee. There are plenty of options which might benefit Dundee more than the current proposal. Whether they could attract sufficient support is another matter but it's perfectly fair to pursue them if Nelms thinks they could gain a better deal. Nelms might even be holding out hope that the season can be finished at some point. All sensible ambitions (if a little unrealistic). What isn't likely is that your club have decided to forego any potential benefit to themselves in the spirit of sporting integrity. That's the sort of shit that clubs like Rangers pedal and nobody takes them seriously either.

Utd are going up regardless of what Dundee or anyone else do or say. It's time you realised this.

If they survive

That’s what would have to be negotiated. Promoting teams is 1 thing but relegating teams with a more than decent chance of staying up is farcical.

What do you think St Johnstone’s reasoning behind voting Yes was? Greed perhaps? No one can seriously say relegating teams with 25% of the season to go is acceptable.

My first line is not tosh.

We can't have 16 teams in the Prem due to them having to have 4 OF games, this would also not be fair to those teams still with a shout of play off places.

We cant void it, due to contractual issues.

We can't play limited play offs, again not fair to others, and when exactly?

Like I said Dundee will be in the Championship next season qnd I can assure you 90% of fellow Dees could not give one jot if you lot are still in it or not.

Christ. You cant rule out one proposal due to the unfairness of the incomplete season, and then back another proposal which uses the exact same formula.

Clarity.

We've stopped all contract talks with existing players, and new players, and the club are refusing to start selling season tickets as they dont think it's fair to be asking fans to pay for a product before they have any idea when the new season will start/how it will be set up.

The season ending now/playing all the games/voiding it and giving money based on position doesnt affect Saints in the slightest. We're mulling about 6th-8th and seem hugely unlikely to be anywhere else, and out both cups.

What’s clear from Scott Gardner’s interview is that the people running Dundee FC as well as those running the SPFL are disingenuous, lying scumbags.

What's clear is you're now shiting yourself and talking out your arse. Think it's a far greater question on SPFL if they can't notice an apparently obvious vote. Either they missed it and are incompetent or being corrupt as f**k.

Haven’t St Johnstone gained by the sum of approximately 100k for voting through this proposal?

Clarity 😂 I know it and you know it that it’s all about money.

The smell of shite continues to waft around this whole situation

I've just seen the 'chat'. Gerry Britton found out before Dundee that Dundee hadn't voted.

Dundee Secretary was apparently on the phone trying to re-submot the vote when Nelms put a stop to it. The 'big guns' were straight on the phone to Dens.

Hilarious if so.

Or they didn't receive it, which seems most likely here.
