MAC THE KNIFE
IT COULD COME TO TITLES / PROMOTIONS ETC BEING DECIDED ON CURRENT TABLES. IF A PLAY OFF MATCH IS NEEDED HAVE THEM PLAYED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

I would think all leagues will remain as they are and the season will be written off, start again next year.

Have to say, as much as I understand it and health obviously has to come first, not disagreeing with the decision, if the season is a write off I'll be gutted. Our best season in about 30 years. Might have come to nothing naturally, in the end, but not to get to find out will be a real kick in the baws. We're not the only ones in that position either, definitely would be some big winners and some big losers. Ah well. Hope everyone's ok, that's the main thing. Swifts have only been in existence as a senior club for 18 months, 2nd bottom last season and play off position this season. Be hard to take if we dont get to challenge for promotion
falkirktv
Either void season or finish it in July start new one mid August and scrap a cup for a year.

Might be an opportunity to re-think the decision on another year of conferences? Go with: T6 - 16 Premier T7 - 16 1st Division T8 - 12+(?) or 2x regional if West Lothian move over en-masse. Maybe squeeze in a knockout or round robin tourney for promotion / relegation between Premier and Conferences A + B.

Go with 18 club Premier and promote Tynecastle and A N Other from the other Conference. 16 club First, and Second with remainder and new applicants.

If there's nothing in the constitution about how to deal with this then the season probably just gets completely voided, there are no league winners or pro/rel and things just reset back to zero again for next season.
Burnie_man
Kinnoul have something like 16 league games still to play. Jeanfield have 14. No way this season is being completed.
Swifty
Surprised they called all scottish football off when the FA allowed their non league games to go ahead.
Truthteller
If the season can't be finished then every club should be awarded 3 points for every league game that they have left to play.
Deanburn Dave
If (and it's a big IF) they played no more games and a decision was made that every outstanding fixture was 3 points to each team then the BUs would win the Premier. Same outcome if each outstanding fixture was 1 point. Unless FIFA or UEFA take a lead on this it will be the SFA calling the shots and it will be anyone's guess what they will do.
8MileBU
Apparently we're not anywhere near the peak of this virus yet in the UK, and it may be 6-8 weeks away. They're not going to resume football in the meantime, season is gubbed. Yet with ‘lockdown’ measures ordered we could potentially be over the worst of it in 4 weeks according to some expert on tv. They said 10-14 weeks yesterday for the peak with cases expected to be high for around 9 weeks either side. Potentially you are looking at August/September being a bogey, never mind this season 10-14 weeks was based on the idiots running our country’s hindering to make a fucking easy tough decision. Lockdown! IT COULD COME TO TITLES / PROMOTIONS ETC BEING DECIDED ON CURRENT TABLES. IF A PLAY OFF MATCH IS NEEDED HAVE THEM PLAYED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. Will you learn to use lower case and stop shouty posting?!
Fife Journeyman
Kinnoull can play 2 games a week through june and july in light nights. 8 weeks.New season can start in September and still finish in time next season. You cant null and void all leagues . All leagues wether semi pro or top level can all be completed in 2 months max.Remember not long ago when everyone was junior 3 games a week was normal for successful teams.Kinnoul have something like 16 league games still to play. Jeanfield have 14. No way this season is being completed.

While I agree with the decision that’s been made I’m extremely baffled as to why horse racing hasn’t been postponed too. I mean there are more jockeys declared for the 3-15 at Kempton today than were booked on the Glenrothes bus for their trip to Coldstream. Because football hasn't been postponed by the government, it's a voluntary decision by the governing body. Horse racing's governing body is accepting the government's advice and carrying on. This could have major implications btw - those volunteering to call off games are very, very unlikely to be protected by insurance, force majeure or frustration in their contracts. 31 minutes ago, Deanburn Dave said: If (and it's a big IF) they played no more games and a decision was made that every outstanding fixture was 3 points to each team then the BUs would win the Premier. The SFA won't tell the EoS how to finish its season. IMO this is a tricky one. It's like when a match is abandoned at 75 minutes. Nobody minds a replay if it was level, but if one side is well ahead it can be harsh. Are Bo'ness so far ahead that they should be declared champions, or is that unfair on chasers like HoB? Shouldn't we do what we do when a match is abandoned, and write it off?

The SFA will 100% want things done their way and will definitely have their say.
