EC v Cowdenbeath - 10/03/2020

I thought tonight would be a very difficult game. Disappointed to lose obviously. Another red card = doubly disappointing. We must get the heads up for Saturday though. Cove are in tip top form so another big task.

Disappointing to lose a 1 nil lead at half time which was excellent to be up at half time.

Delighted for Jordyn Sheerin to get on the score sheet in his second spell at the club but disappointingly we couldn't keep it level for long.

We don't half make things difficult for ourselves as we were comfortable in third now we have a challenging end to the season to try and keep our place in the top four.

If tonight's Stirling game is anything to go by we will have to be at our best defensively on Saturday if we want to take anything from the game.

one of the most one sided games of the season hard to believe we were not home and hosed by half time but if u dont take your chances. Strong  second half despite a gift of a goal for the visitors.  Sutherland mckay Graham macphee cameron superb

What was the red card for?

2nd yellow - for reacting angrily after he took a head knock which caused a large gash on his head.  Elgin doctor had to treat him after match.

by the way a goal of quality from Jordan Allan and Jordyn what can you say!

Blimey! When did Cowden become the angriest team in the world?

What a bunch of dirty scumbags, but what do you expect when the manager's  calling a fan a speccy b*****d and the first team coach is telling another to step outside and then came back up the tunnel to look for him.

Back to the football, Elgin should've scored more.

I blame Cove for not beating them in the play offs the year before.

Our away form is terrible. You will always struggle to stay in the top four with away form like ours. We have almost caught up with the away games now though. Just 4 home and 5 away now.

Go more attacking against Cove on Saturday. No point hanging back and hoofing it. It doesn't work. We don't score enough goals.

Any chance Morrison playing this weekend?

Yes our away form hasn't been great especially compared to our excellent home form

Not sure if Morrison will be playing this weekend.

Coves defence isn't as good as their attacking players and agree hoof ball doesn't work. We look our best when we play it on the ground.

It will be a tough match against Cove but we are capable of beating them if at our best

I'm beginning to think we have a really good team currently. Certainly the strongest bench i can remember. Elgin really bossed the game and the scoreline flattered Cowden. Onwards and upwards.

Elgin played well, again! Yes, you could have scored more but you were assisted by our keeper who had another poor game.

Well if the individual did indeed wear spectacles and his mother was from Elgin, chances are the comment was an accurate description.
