What happens if they ban large gatherings due to COVID-19?

Closed doors is viable for big (EPL/Championship) clubs. Gate money is a small part of their revenue. It's not the same for many in Scotland. Paying wages with no income and authorities already warning about low cash reserves might mean a few will find it hard to continue.

I've no idea how to resolve this without casualties.

Could we take the Serie A approach and postpone everything until the beginning of April, then play Tuesday/Saturday until the games are fulfilled? Obviously still makes it difficult for small clubs to pay wages for the next 3 weeks, but with the prospect of income just a month away they may be able to struggle through.

The Euros look likely to be moved to next year, so we could extend the season slightly if required.

They certainly won't commit to abandoning the league just now. I think they'll suspend and review later. If the dead are piling up on the street nobody will complain about the league being abandoned...except Celtic supporters obviously.

Only allow home season ticket holders entry.

If that number is above 500, then ballot.

Otherwise, void the season and distribute all prize monies evenly amongst all the clubs

This includes £3.35M that would've went to the Premier Champions and the £2.4M runner up amount.

This should ensure survival for all Scottish clubs.

After all, the Old Firm did say, re. the Colts, we need to look at what's best for Scottish football.

Clubs at every level will have budgeted based on the prize money from their particular division. If a Premiership club expects to get £1m+ in prize money and ends up with £500k or something like that then how is that going to help all clubs survive? Everyone is going to be wearing big losses here.

The virus is expected to keep getting worse through April, before peaking in May. You’re looking, potentially, at June or probably July before events are allowed again, and that’s assuming there’s some sort of vaccine or cure on the way for the next winter.

Closed-door or not at all I think, with a big question mark over next season at this stage.

Start of next season award teams at the top and bottom of the league's the amount of points they are ahead/behind their nearest competitors e.g. Raith starts on 1 point Stranraer on -8.

That's if there is no promotion/relegation. IMO the Rovers should be promoted to the Championship this season whatever the outcome

Won’t or can’t extended the season, many players out of contract the last game of season. Total clusterfuck and can’t wait to see what decision is made.

Players are not out of contract immediately after the last game of the season. Clubs basically pay players all summer now as far as I'm aware.

If it wasn’t for the players likely getting ill, closed games could likely be either streamed or recorded and then broadcast by the expedient of staggering game times/days and using all the sports and news networks cameras/operators spread out one to a pitch.

The government compensates the teams based upon average attendance and food/drink revenue thus far and pays the networks costs, the teams pay staff to stay home like they were there working, and all games are broadcast free. Gives people something to do while staying in, keeps people paid, possibly boosts attendance next year.

Teams with broadcasting ability use their setup and team, home or away, but the volunteers get compensated and travel costs paid too.

It's usually until the end of May that players are contracted until.

It's getting the SFA to agree to allowing webcasts and you know what fuckwits they are......far too sensible an idea.

Players who are out of contract would have an effect on teams being able to play beyond the season end which in turn would impact upon teams with small squad numbers and give an advantage to those with larger squads. Seasonable solution would be to scrap promotion and relegation for all divisions. The downside of that would be the seethe from those who had built their squad on promotion and it not happening. The SFA should be doing all in their powers to ensure no clubs suffer real financial hardship through fixtures being cancelled, I am sure they have the funds to do so!
