CoveRangers1922 Posted March 7, 2020 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Half time and it’s 1-0 Cove. A few big chances missed from Rory and Masson along with a shot off the post by Mitch. Nearly a spectacular lob from Broque but just went wide. Brechin had a chance via Olli Hamilton that went close. Other than that they’ve done well to stay in it. Ex Cove striker Jimmy Scott almost took Strachan head off with an ambitious overhead kick. Hedgecutter Posted March 7, 2020 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Wasn't sure if Cove just took their foot off the gas at 3-0, but I thought we were the better team for the last 20 mins or so. Much better passing down the wings in the 2nd half but just picking the wrong passes. Stupid pen to concede (tackle from behind I think) and two soft goals that you could see coming both times. I would echo that analysis of Brechin being the better team for the last 20 minutes. 3-0 down and showed character and some belief to fight their way back into the game. Cove were wasteful in the first half and far too slow with their build up play especially in the 2nd half. Much improved Brechin performance from the one I saw last week at Glebe. Need to get a win soon to give confidence and give the players the feeling they can escape from the foot.
