Hibs vs Hearts

We're the better team, playing good football but still looking leaky. They're mince but have a lot to play for. Even with their team being full of shitebags I've a bad feeling about this one.

Plus I'm going and I'm pretty much a Jonah at this point.

For someone with Budgie in their avatar, you're not half a pussy m8.

These games give me the fear. A few positives for us though. Old man Naismith, the only player who I would have in our team, will be unable to play another 90 minutes after beating the currants on Saturday. We finally have a striker that can jump and win a header. His contribution at both ends will be crucial. Their best keeper is worse than Zibbi at his height. Their '£20m' valued centre half is out(actually not a positive as he is shite but it may affect their confidence). We are the far better team all over the park and our pace will scare them to their core.

We should be taking a barrel load off them but we all know this will not pan out. They will take a cue from Robbos book and aim to maim Boyle in the first 20 minutes, taking it in turns to do so. They will get a lucky deflection, dodgy penalty or soft red card in their favour(perhaps all 3) as they always do.

Havung said all that I think we have a manager and players who understand what is required. Get fucking into them Hibs.

I hadn't considered this but I think that may be the real difference. If they're still trying to play that press of theres then Hibs' pace could cause a bit of indecision and space which we (fingers crossed) have the players to take advantage of.

Heart says get the jambos fucking down, head says a Hibs defeat might allow us to continue the most glorious attempt at a 3rd place finish in football history.

Draw, I suppose, please.

FTFY mate, from a Livingston perspective of course.

In what world should Hibs be taking a "barrel load" off us? Favourites aye,  but still a team that gives away chances and has dropped daft points.

Agreed. They're definitely favourites, but we've beaten them already this season and go into it off a decent result and performance.

Hibs are nothing to be afraid of. I'm setting my alarm for 3.20am and getting off to bed soon. Could go either way, imo.

F**k the Hibs.

The world where Hearts have managed to win 1 game out of 10 against fellow tail-enders Ross County, Hamilton, St Mirren and St Johnstone this season.

They dont care about those "diddy" teams, they would accept relegation if it meant one poxy league win against us.

The following is a message from Police Scotland ahead of tonight's Edinburgh Derby.

Police Scotland is requesting fans attending Tuesday’s Edinburgh Derby between Hibernian and Heart of Midlothian do so in a responsible manner.

The teams kick off their Scottish Premiership tie at 7.45pm on Tuesday 3rd March, with a capacity crowd at Easter Road expected.

Police Scotland will have a number of officers and specialist resources in and around the stadium as well as others across the city on matchday to assist both football clubs and the stewards in ensuring the safety of all those attending the game.

Chief Inspector David Happs, Event Police Lead for the match, said “The Edinburgh Derby is one of the most exciting and popular fixtures in the Scottish football calendar. A capacity crowd is expected with many more watching from home.

“We want both sets of fans to enjoy the game safely and in the proper spirit. It is essential that supporters act in a responsible manner and do not put themselves or others at risk.

"As such, any flare, firework or any controlled container or bottle which could cause harm if thrown, is strictly forbidden from the ground. Items such as flares or smoke devices are very dangerous and can endanger your own and others’ safety. It is illegal to enter or even attempt to enter the stadium with them so if you are found to be in possession of any of these types of prohibited items you are likely to be arrested, face prosecution and a football banning order.

“Criminality will not be tolerated and we will work with both football clubs to identify any person involved.

“There will be a high visibility police presence at the turnstiles to support the steward search operation of those persons entering the stadium.

“Anyone trying to get into the stadium whilst drunk will not see the game and may also face arrest and prosecution.”

“The turnstiles open at 6.45pm and I would encourage spectators to arrive early at the stadium. Enjoy the game and please check the club websites for further details about accessing the stadium and the ground rules."

"Lucky deflection"?

You mean like Ryan Stevenson?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2kQ8JjMRUw

Or Sam Nicholson?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yvyu8H0hkIw

Or Jamie Walker?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQuo9Aw6kjE

Or Alim Ozturk ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGpda2NNfyI

Or Olly Olly Lee? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kwKOPAHRzs

Ohhhh. I get it. You mean like Aaron Hickey.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt2UWS2CiX0

Not even going to give that post dignity by quoting those videos, but some of those are outrageously lucky and they are all hit and hopes.

Ozturk’s one smashes the crossbar, bounces down and then hits the net. Griffiths and Shaw have likewise hit the crossbar, only for it to bounce over the line and spin backwards, meaning the goals weren’t given.

I know everybody does this with their rivals, but Hearts objectively get a lot of luck sometimes in derbies.
