Raith Rovers vs Falkirk - The Sequel

Recommended Posts

If we could someone put a team out that does not feature Hall, Buchanan, Sammon, De Vita or McMillan that would be smashing.

It would have been nice to have a 4 point gap going into this, but knowing the Rovers maybe it’s better that we don’t.

I’m looking forward to this one. Hopefully the latest spell of shitty stormy weather has passed by then.

Looking at the form guide we’ve done okay since the clocks went back, but if I’m being honest, I think (cups aside) we’ve been a bit ropey for a while. I’m hoping we can keep in there until the clocks go forward and then get a second wind. We need a few players to regain a bit of form. We haven’t exactly been particularly clinical or creative for some time now and some of our players (no names) haven’t done much for us for a while now.

Anyway, I’m hoping we can up our game and get the points.

Where the hell our goals are gonna come from is the big question, clean sheets aint the Rovers way,

I'm not confident for this one, as deja vu rears its head again

I think we've lost the league today. We just need to make sure we do enough to get into the top 4 because that's by no means certain.

The league is still wide open.

Nobody can predict who will win it, but we can all make educated guesses.

My reckoning is Raith or Falkirk league winners or 2nd place.

3rd and 4th will go to either East Fife, Montrose or Airdrie.

Here’s my prediction

1- Raith

2-Falkirk

3-Montrose

4-East Fife

5-Airdrie

6-Dumbarton

7-Clyde

8-Peterhead

9-Forfar

10-Stranraer

Ofcourse it could end up completely the wrong way for most of us!

If you look at the Sun or Record’s pre season predictions it was all sh!te, I think they had the Mo bottom and Clyde  2nd

The way us and Falkirk are throwng away points yourselves,East Fife and Airdrie cant be discounted

Might as well include the Mo in that.

We still have 2 games in hand.

It depends on how you look at it.

Pos Team Pld Gd Pts
1 Raith Rovers 26 15 49
2 Falkirk 26 33 48
3 Airdrieonians 27 10 45
4 East Fife 27 9 45
5 Montrose 25 7 41

Our battle is against East Fife and Airdrie.

Do we want to win the league? It would be very nice, but Montrose aren’t a championship side, 3rd place for us is a great place to be.

Arbroath are doing well, but we have half the size of town that they do (and twice the size of Brechin) it’s all fairly relevant in terms of fan base.

If the math is right, you’d have two on the bench then, right?
