I'm from the sauce belt so chippy sauce. It was a PTTGOYN that when I would visit a pal in Dunbar the flower of East Lothian towns was outside the sauce belt. Maybe the incomers will have changed things there now.

I usually have the barbecue sauce with Macdonald's chips. Strangely enough when I have pub fish and chips I usually put tomato sauce on the chips. For which I was abused by other sauce belt dwelling Edinburgh City fans on a trip up north recently, the sods.

Correct. However, I’ve been known to order chips, cheese, and madras sauce from the Indian once in a blue moon. Makes a nice change from the yellow curry sauce.

Can never remember which Indian it is in Dundee but their chips cheese and curry sauce is like an Indian homestyle curry sauce and its banging.
