coprolite
Delighted that Ryan Jack injured himself with an unnecessary over the ball challenge and that his injury might have contributed to the goal. Serpent

The greenyins papped out of Europe The currants papped out of the cup and their wait for a first major trophy going on. Morton? Skunks? A bit of an irrelevance.

He’s turned it into a word salad but his sentiment is correct when you consider the performance at Parkhead at Xmas time and the Europa league victories which were followed by losing points against Hearts Kilmarnock and St Johnstone. ETA it’s much the same as the Scotland national team. Edited March 1, 2020 by throbber

It's almost as if Gerrard is in charge of a group of mercenaries who remarkably manage to turn on some style whenever people might be watching them from outwith Scotland. Anyway, I find it entertaining that a team can somehow play better than they are capable of.

DC92
Rangers' record at Tynecastle since 2012: Played: 9 Won: 2 Drawn: 2 Lost: 5 Goal difference: -6 Going for 55(% defeat ratio at Tynecastle), indeed. Bairnardo
It looks like Rangers simply don't have the quality in the squad to maintain the consistency to challenge for every trophy. The simple solution is to spend more money on better quality players. This will, hilariously, be the mindset of their fans, and will hopefully result in another death of a club these orcs support.

Good point.

This season I've seen progress in this direction from Rangers and they have improved a lot since last season not quite onto the coat tail but a lot closer, yet I'm reading comments from Rangers fans that this is the lowest they have felt in decades of supporting their club, completely forgetting that back in 2012 they didn't have one and now Gerrard is seen as public enemy number one?? That takes some extra special stupid. Despite this they are still in Europe which is a massive bonus because no one ever expected them to be there, should make some decent money out of it but yet still that's not good enough. This impatience to stop Celtic from winning 10 in a row is undermining the progress, its almost like they want to stop this run right now and anything less is unacceptable. The only way that is going to happen now is if Celtic have a mare of a season which isn't going to happen and they will always have a little extra to step up if any other team including Rangers get close enough to them. Celtic won't stand still if they have serious competition for the title. So Rangers have no choice but to strengthen the squad through spending more money on better quality than they have now if they want to challenge for every trophy and become serious consistent challengers to Celtic's domination. I think it's more a coaching issue tbh, refusing to change from tactics which dont work against physical teams. Obviously in Europe you don't see that style of play, refs dont accept it there but in Scotland they do, so we need to adapt. Stop fannying about with the baw in defence and boot it to fcuk. I'm convinced the players are being told to play it out rather than clear their lines, its happening too often. Sometimes you just have to boot it out/up the pitch. Realise that our forwards require space, see the Braga and other European games. Stop trying to pass the baw past 10 defenders, it doesn't work. Last nights game was predictable, see my page 1 post.
