Alloa Athletic vs Ayr United

Ooft, Alloa giving Forrest that much space and time on the edge of the box. Thought they'd have been aware of that given of many similar goals he's scored from there.

We started with a makeshift defence and by the time that goal was scored we only had two defenders on the park as we chased the game. As such, hardly a surprise that there was loads of space.

Looks like a missed opportunity there with plenty of chances created. But gifting goals and missing chances is not a winning combination. Hopefully the injuries at the back ease up, too many important players missing at the moment.

Grant basically removed our defence when in the last stages , a gamble that failed but worth a try .

Highlights show plenty of good chances for both teams. A bit worried at our defence as we'd get punished for them in the games coming up next week.

That's true, we need to be tighter. Hopefully Muirhead comes back in alongside bell.

But at least we popped it about well and created loads. Forrest looking dangerous again, and big drinan doing brilliantly.

I for one have been watching and supporting Ayr for 60 years, if a plastic pitch comes in I’ll not be back, that’s why I wasn’t there today and won’t be at Dumfries in a couple of weeks absolute torture watching games on it, only good for training on to keep up fitness.

You have been attending Ayr United matches for 60 years, and have undoubtedly witnessed countless humbling defeats to the likes of Brechin City, Cowdenbeath and Stenhousemuir, yet this is the hill you would choose to die on? A pitch?

Behave.
