Huge sums of money found their way into his personal bank accounts at roughly the same time as suspiciously similar huge sums of money went missing from Malaysia's long-term development fund. Najib reckons the money in his accounts was a gift from the Saudi royal family and there's absolutely no connection to the missing money that he clearly had control over so it's all cool. He's on trial at the moment. This is Malaysia so the outcome will be dependent on politics. PM has just resigned here so the shape of the next government is anybody's guess.
