I got a bridie at McDiarmid Park a couple of weeks ago at the midweek match between the two clubs, it was fucking shite, will not be purchasing one here.

My mate Simon Elea runs the catering and the away mob always get the shite left over from the Saturday game.

Mods can we change the thread title please? We are the home team. St Johnstone v Dregs of Society.

Probably got confused as it just looks like a Celtic home game with us having 3 stands.

Good to see st johnstone continuing to be a complete diddy team by essentially making it a home tie for celtic.

They're getting 0.5 more a stand than we've given them for the past decade.

Its astounding how worked up folk get over this.

They normally get the two end stands plus 1,000 seats in the main stand so they are losing the 33%  of the main stand and are gaining 100% of the east stand

Aye but that doesn't fit with Random's narrative, nor his grasp of Arithmetic. Club is losing a million pounds a year remember.

Hoping Copenhagen take the game to extra time and penalties on Thursday to knacker the Celtic players as much as possible.  Also hope they kick Celtic all over the park, and Edouard, Griffiths, McGregor, Ajer, Forrest and Christie pick up injuries. Not season enders, just enough to keep them out of Sunday's game.  Celtic always seem lucky on the injury front compared to other clubs, so all their bad luck at once would be great please.

Our last 3 matches against Celtic have followed an all too familiar pattern of losing early goals:

29/01/20  1-0 after 6 mins, 3-0 after 26 mins

03/08/19 1-0 after 9 mins, 3-0 after 30 mins

10/02/19 1-0 after 3 mins, 2-0 after 9 mins

So we need to survive the early onslaught to give ourselves any chance in this.

Saints players need to stand up and be counted here, no room for passengers, and let's be prepared to get stuck in a bit more. Stop being so nice. When a Saints player commits a foul, the whole team get round him and back him up when the Celtic players start mouthing off and squaring up; when a Celtic player makes a foul, get round the referee and put pressure on to get him booked. They do it to us all the time, so let's give a bit back for once rather than being too afraid at upsetting them.

Its about getting through to the semi-final, nothing else matters.

Other than maybe having Holt in there, that would be my team as well, influenced by yesterday. We got dragged about a bit too much when they had Morelos and Kamberi on and the wing back role is better for Wright than an orthodox full back; we can't play Wallace Duffy.

Need the two strikers so as to defend from the front and also give us an opportunity to get up the park. System means leaving Wotherspoon out but he can be too careless with the ball in these games. A good subbie to have in his form. I do think the manager might play him though.

Although full in the knowledge we could get hammered, you have to look forward to a Scottish Cup quarter-final. Every fan that can should be getting along to back the team.

Agreed with the 3-5-2, we gave Rangers space and time on the ball and got away with it, Celtic would capitalise on that more. Should be less of a clusterfuck than the last attempt with that set up against them.

You cant play two centre backs against Edouard and Griffiths aswell, IMO.

100% agree with this team.

Options might be Holt in the middle for Craig or Butcher but think Butch is the better bet against Brown. Booth the only option for LWB.

Holt, Wotherspoon and MOH all good options off the bench. Who knows, maybe even Izzy Jones could play a role at some point.

Anyone know if Muzz is back? Not to start after such a long lay off but maybe not a bad option off the bench.

Really up for this after yesterday, nothing to lose by having a go.
