Arbroath vs Ayr United

Recommended Posts

We do have segregation but it only gets used for teams that bring bigger crowds. Surely it's better to be able to walk right around the ground and stand where you want? Rather than be stuck in the bottom tier of your main stand for the full game

Not defending our arsehole fans but what sort of diddies don’t have segregation at this level in the first place?

As much as I would love it if DC could've just said call it aff ref were no winning that's obviously not what's happened. Ref blew up for half time way before he should've I think it was clearly the plan

Vast majority of Ayr fans seemed good fun from the stand. Plenty of singing etc

Just few that fancied themselves as hard men obviously

at station park this year we've had far too many segregated games, all because a bunch of fuds at raith cant behave.

Usual story, the few spoil it for the many.

Obviously, from an Arbroath perspective.

From all perspectives, I mean, we scored a completely fluke corner and your suggesting it’s unfair on Ayr? The whole game was farcical, given Ayr’s record at Gayfield I wouldn’t have thought it would be a bad thing to replay.

Arbroath are a disgrace.  They knew or must have known there was a major doubt over this game.  Should have got an inspection this morning instead of letting fans travel from the west coast when the conditions are patently unplayable.  Some sympathy for the referee.  He’s showed up at 1.30 and knew the conditions were a joke but obviously figured it was worth a go given fans had already travelled.

Arbroath,  off their own back, should have organised an inspection, for wind, 5 hours before the game?

Correct.  This isn’t complicated - the conditions were unplayable this morning with no improvement in the forecast expected.  Arbroath should have asked for an inspection this morning.  If you look back, there’s been discussion all week about the chances of this game going ahead.  We had some knuckleheads on both sides who dismissed the forecast, but really, this farce was totally predictable.
