Arbroath vs Ayr United

Recommended Posts

Big game here given the positions of our respective clubs. Arbroath have had a fantastic season and will rightly have their sights set on a playoff spot whilst we need to aim to finish 2nd.

The usual suspects will still be injured for us and Aero will be suspended so they team will pick itself apart from who plays up front.

The fixture pileup is traditionally the period where Ayr fans look at their games in hand, rub their palms together in anticipation, and get fucking nothing for the next three games.

If there could possibly be a worse time to play the division's form team, it's after a week of inactivity, and where they can go above us if they win.

Neither team has anything to fear, however, there is always, at the back of the mind, the fact that we tore you  new one 😁

Like 90% of the games in this division, any result can happen.

Kerr is a clever so and so, and if nothing else, he is most definitely doing his homework.

This fixture would have filled me with dread giving Ayr tore us a new one earlier in the season, now with the way we’re playing aided by good signings in the window I’d be disappointed we get something here and that’s no disrespect to Ayr.

I'd be disappointed you got something here too.

Looking at this table the league is genuinely mental. We are only 1 point off 2nd however also only 4 points off 6th albeit with game(s) in hand.

Fair play to Dick Campbell & Arbroath they are having a great season and look like they had a very good January window adding two very decent players in Wighton and Hilson and given the inconsistency of everyone in the league there is no reason why they can’t finish in the top 4. In this league your really only a couple of wins away from shooting up the league or a couple of losses from falling like a stone and being in a full blown crisis.

At this time of year and with the recent weather this is probably the last place you’d want to visit. Fair chance of being a complete lottery which favours Arbroath as they will be used to playing in it

Weathers only been bad twice this season. Yesterday was minging but never affected the game. The forecast for next Saturday looks fine.

I'll have a class day either way, would like to win though.

Us also, playing more than decent just now, will be disappointed if we get nothing from this game
