Boswelldriver
Which We'll said. Always get a nice welcome at Cumnock and it is a great facility at Townhead. Whilst Beechwood is a great facility as well, the welcome is far more hostile for visiting fans with Talbot's 'entitled' supporters screaming for anything and everything, no matter how ridiculous the perceived indescretion is ....Which team do you follow Funky Monkey

Boswelldriver
Ah,!! Yes Always a wee niggle between us and you Bankies lol. In defence Cumnock has always been friendly club, especially the social part as I can vouch for it. I would say your belief stems from the fact you struggle to beat us and with Cumnock you guys are at a level playing field. Most teams and fans will get a great reception at Auchinleck in our social club. Maybe you've just perceived it negatively as Talbot are inherently a better team? Sorry I know it sounds arrogant but most teams always hate the best teams. Same in every standard.
Boswelldriver
So how does it work if Cumnock Juniors don’t own the facility, genuine question, do they get first nibs at the Saturday afternoon kick off ? They have to book the park like everyone else. They are up against the Boys Brigade, Anchor Boys, Cumnock amateur dramatics group. Girl guides and brownies. It's not easy
EricCJ
Absolute nonsense. CJFC have priority at the Hub for all association games. The park is reserved as soon as fixtures are announced. Never been an issue and despite uninformed comments on this site...never at any time an issue for this weeks game!

EricCJ
No. Not since the hub opened. Any teams that have already booked are cancelled when a FC game is announced or wherever possible offered another slot. Such as for this weeks game.

EricCJ
Lugar and other junior teams have applied and we accommodate them as best we can. CJFC are the senior club and their association fixtures have priority. End of.
Inanimate Carbon Rod
Just worth pointing out that to some ‘ownership’ seems to be a huge deal, to others with a broader mind like Cumnock, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain the idea of local authority ownership doesnt seem to be that big a deal... indeed some of the best and most impressive stadia in the world aren’t owned by the sports teams who play in them, Yankee stadium isnt owned by the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys don’t own their stadium, it’s just utterly bizarre that this is seen as a source of bragging rights?
Appraisal
So Cumnock Juniors get preferential treatment at the community facility they do not own, Does this mean they would get the same preferential treatment at the Barony complex as well ??

EricCJ
I can’t answer for CJFC but it is a fixture set by the association. Nothing to do with park availability.

The buffs now have one of the best facilities in Scotland and we dont own it and it's going to get even better so your right ownership of your ground is more a hindrance where if you rent and other sources do the upgrades for you it's cheaper all round.

GNU_Linux
Ahhh, Right I get you. So tell me why is this game on a Tuesday evening? This seasons league games (in Premiership) are to be finished by last weekend of April (or there abouts). Was supposed to be a trial run for pyramid stuff as those leagues finish on those dates.

They don't have the manpower for Killie V Rangers and Talbot V Cumnock on the same night
