HibeeJibee
I thought "Relegationwatch" sounded rather tired. Entering the final 3 months or so of the league season it looks like 3 from 7 will go down at the culmination of 'the race to the bottom'. It seems unlikely Linlithgow could be overtaken by 5 of the 7 below them. February features numerous head-to-heads. Crossgates face a massive month with 3 consecutive '6-pointers' and although holding a 7pt cushion have played 2 or 3 games more than most teams below them. Musselburgh have entered a good run of form and 4 of their 6 outstanding games are at home. Dunbar continue to flirt with the dropzone and will meet Sauchie home-n-away. Sauchie themselves have only lost 1 in 5 and risen steadily up from the foot of the table but have played more games than those around them. Whitehill have recently dragged themselves off bottom but will have to face some midweek games. Blackburn won yesterday to end a period of terrible form and now also face 3 consecutive '6-pointers'. Newtongrange now prop-up the table then after facing 4 consecutive '6-pointers' have no more head-to-heads. Here are the closing schedules of the contenders: Crossgates Primrose Feb 08 Musselburgh (A) Feb 15 Whitehill (A) Feb 22 Newtongrange (H) Feb 29 Penicuik (H) Mar 07 Jeanfield (A) - LC R2 Mar 14 Linlithgow (A) Mar 21 Tranent (H) Camelon (H) Sauchie (H) Bo'ness (A) Dunbar (A) Musselburgh Athletic Feb 08 Crossgates (H) Feb 15 Hill of Beath (H) Feb 22 Penicuik (A) Feb 29 Newtongrange (A) m/week Tynecastle (A) - LC R2 Mar 07 Mar 14 Bo'ness (H) Mar 21 Dundonald (A) Blackburn (H) Broxburn (H) Penicuik (H) Whitehill (H) Broxburn (A) Camelon (A) Dunbar United Feb 08 Blackburn (H) Feb 15 Broxburn (A) Feb 22 Hill of Beath (H) Feb 29 Bo'ness (A) Mar 07 Dundonald (A) Mar 14 Sauchie (H) Mar 21 Jeanfield (A) Crossgates (H) Penicuik (H) Linlithgow (A) Sauchie (A) Tranent (A) Whitehill (A) Oakley/Inverkeithing (A) - LC R2 Sauchie Feb 08 Newtongrange (H) Feb 15 Bo'ness (H) Feb 22 Blackburn (A) Feb 29 Broxburn (A) Mar 07 Blackburn (H) - LC R2 Mar 14 Dunbar (A) Mar 21 Camelon (H) Dunbar (H) Crossgates (A) Jeanfield (A) Penicuik (A) Whitehill Welfare Feb 08 Hill of Beath (A) Feb 15 Crossgates (H) Feb 22 Camelon (A) Feb 29 Linlithgow (H) Mar 07 Hawick (A) - LC R2 Mar 14 Dundonald (H) Mar 21 Bo'ness (H) Dunbar (H) Hill of Beath (H) Jeanfield (H) Penicuik (H) Blackburn (A) Jeanfield (A) Musselburgh (A) ? Casey Jones
Recently I picked three who I thought would be relegated. But only Dunbar out of bottom half failed to pick up a point, or more, yesterday. So, will refrain from guessing this time!
Passthebaw
Newtongrange, Sauchie & Blackburn have been my picks for the last couple of weeks, but I say that with little confidence as teams can beat each other top to bottom, as recently evidenced.
baker2
The way linlithgow are defending they aren’t out of it yet! We need a few more wins to get out of trouble!
