It is with regret that the Irvine Meadow committee have accepted managers Brian McGinty's resignation tonight. We thank him for all his tremendous hard work and effort since joining in October 2017. We wish him all the best for the future. A full statement will be released soon.

Personally I am very disappointed he has left as we have been improving our league position every season since he came and made Meadow a generally tough team to beat. We were 4th bottom of league below when he joined us and now punching above our weight in 3rd spot in top of West Region Premiership. Even after our Scottish Cup exit no Meadow fan would have wanted McGinty to leave as we all know what a tremendous job he had done on a tight budget compared to 2008-2015/16

Lad has done a terrific job at Meadow so it’s a big blow for them. I honestly thought that if they kept up the progression they have been making, they were becoming the main challengers to Talbot. Will be interesting to see if the development continues now the boss has gone.

Strange decision and hardly an 'exclusive' lifting the lid on why he's left. Reasons like 'difference on opinion on the way forward' normally involve money/budgets for players. So,maybe he's been told there's no more money for next year.
Along with Stevie Aitchison and Phil, he's done a really good job and no doubt some other clubs will be talking to them soon, if not already.
The good thing for Meadow is that he's left them in a really good position with a good squad so the next manager should be rubbing their hands in delight.
