They've been so abysmal awful at it. Drew will surely win the belt but he'll be chucked in to a shit feud where he's given incredibly bad lines that will kill his character and be on the same level as everyone else before soon. If they don't mean it then WWE are doing a great job of sabotaging talent, which is mental. Their old fall back of 'legends' is fast running out. This is surely the last Mania for Taker and Goldberg. Rock and Austin will never wrestle again. Edge won't do another Mania. Edge has signed a 3 year deal has he not? People have been saying this will be the last Mania for Taker for about 10 year - And he's certainly not bowing out in front of an empty arena, far too much money to be made. Cena can be used as an attraction, as can Lesnar & HHH. WWE were in a much, much worse position than this in the mid-90s after Hogan left and eventually the likes of Michaels & Hart broke through. It'll happen. The WWE hierarchy don't care if we like the product or not. We're no longer their target market. They're back to targeting kids with the odd tidbit for the older fans that grasp on. Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, Rusev, Bray Wyatt, Shayna Baszler are all under 40 so easily have 10 year ahead of them. Will they be as big as our heroes? Edge has already shown that he won't do a full time schedule (and rightly so), so who is here to put over? Agree that Cena, HHH and Lesnar can put folk over, but look at how WWE treat the current stars. A guy can beat all 3 of them but if he's then given a shite script that he has to regurgitate exactly he's fucked. I'll try and get through most of Saturday's show on the Sunday, then hopefully avoid enough spoilers to watch through the Sunday show the next day.
