Queens v Dunfermline

Recommended Posts

Our only hope is that AJ has added a few players this week well decent players not Livi reserve keeper or a 18 year old boy from Motherwell ..

Really impressed with Dunfermline on Friday night Queens it was easily the poorest we have played this season all points to a Dunfermline win

We improved a fair bit on Friday night but I don’t think there was anything “really impressive” about our overall performance. We gained a lot of confidence after going a goal (and two) up but before that we were every bit as shit as Dundee.

Our defeat was really down to our own players that have been at the club all season. Can’t lay much blame on the two debutants making their debuts after only signing 2 days previous. Brownlie made their debut a difficult one, once they’re settled I'm sure they’ll be fine. Midfield is now priority of course.

The usual word salad. Please look for the punctuation keys.

No one has any idea whats going to happen in this game, this league is a free for all.

We played better on Friday...maybe. Very hard to tell against a very very sh*t Dundee team.

None of the possible results will surprise me.

We have a tendency to go to winning or losing runs, and hopefully the win on Friday triggers a winning one. If we can get 2-3 victories in before the end of the quarter then that will be a massive boost should have us fighting to get into the play-offs rather than avoid them.

That’s obviously far from guaranteed but it’s just my optimism kicking back in.

Only change I’d make is replacing McGill with Ross. Hopefully there’s another couple of faces brought in before the game.

Hard to judge what will happen given Dundee are an absolute gang. Our home form is considerably better than our away form, so that’s not very good.

If we can keep the same performance levels up like we saw for 60 minutes or so v Dundee, then we SHOULD be alright. It’s no use showing flashes of quality one game then go on to lose to teams below you, which we tend to do.

Hopefully Friday was the start of another 5 game winning streak.

As unlikely as it is, I hope Brownlie is still there by time Saturdays game comes around. Absolute haddy.

TBF he's been very steady this season but he was brutal on Saturday,  for which he got deserved stick. Putting in a performance like that after agreeing  a PCA was always going to give the conspiracy theorists a field day.  Always has had the tendency to be a bit erratic though,   giving away needless fouls,  etc, but as said he's been one of our more reliable players. If his head is elsewhere he'd be as well moving on now though.   We're fairly well covered at CB without him,  Kilday,  Semple and Devine,  if all are fit that is.

Had McCrorie and El Bak not moved on would the result have been different?

Mccrorie moving on made no difference, El Bak possibly we missed his fast attacking style of play.

Like the trip down to Palmerston although often these are terrible games (a couple of dire 0-0 draws, a 1-0 win where Clark scored a fluke goal at the end and the earlier 1-1 game this season was pretty poor too). Hopefully this win on Friday will be the impetus to start a wee run of positive results. A win here and at Firhill would be superb but even 4 points would be a good return.

No way of knowing obviously. Stewart couldn't have done anything about the goals but GK is more than saving shots. McCrorie might have saw Thomson unmarked and given the defender a heads up, you never know. El Bak would have at least gave us a decent attacking threat.
