A league title isn't won in January unless you're Liverpool.

Last time Hearts beat Rangers at Tynecastle, Ian Cathro was in charge. A 4-1 victory.

Cathro talked about finally getting the tempo and performance he knew the players were capable of.

Stendel isn't fucking Rain Man though

2 Hibernian 36 21 7 8 70 32 +38 70 Qualification for the Premiership play-off semi-final
3 Rangers 36 19 10 7 69 39 +30 67

Can't remember what the points total difference was exactly at Jan. Maybe 12? Fell off a cliff under McDowall.

Same as Liverpool's lead just now then.

At that point Rangers had just got around to beating Alloa at the third attempt, this being after their 4-0 scudding at Easter Road in December (the fourth defeat in the four games against the Edinburgh sides to that point).  Things could only improve...

Yeah, then we followed it up with a 3-0 win at a usually-tough away venue a few days later.

What's our next fixture again?jj.png

Stendel isn't a balloon though.

It's easy for folk who don't watch us every week to say we haven't improved under Stendel, but we definitely have.  Our tempo is much better and we are far more attacking. Until now it hasn't clicked, but we've finished the last two games with 5 forwards on the park.  We are making chances but not taking them, guys like Boyce will help in that regard.

It's actually staggering there are people on Twitter who don't realise that is a parody and think it's a genuine Rangers fans podcast 😂

It's fucking brilliant to be fair, I'm pretty sure the JB Mcausland character is based on Alex Rae.

Brilliant.

Surprised to see White starting, but not surprised to see him subbed at half-time, and have three players fill the left-back spot.

Clare picking up where he left off before his suspension, and actually bullying people.

Halkett and Souttar being strong and brave in defence, and helping to start attacks.

Big Toby did vert well in centre-mid, and at left-back - needs games if he was toiling with cramp, but very impressed.

Irving very composed again.

Surprised to see Moore start, but he did ok.

Two rangers players booked for fouls on Henderson - they struggled with his bursts of pace, which suggests he may have something.

I thought we were just getting a poacher, but Boyce has so much more - game nous, for one thing, but great to see him score.

Naismith being Naismith.

Stendel bringing on Uche was a massive sign that he wanted a win rather than a draw.

The fans responding with some bounce.

Brilliant.

Has Tynecastle lost its fear factor? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51223605

Nope.

So beyond all the hilarity, i have a serious question.

Why do rangers fans always refer to games of football as a battle etc?

"theres no enough players wantin to turn up to the fight"

"we need players who are ready for battle and won't back down"

"we need midfield generals who will die for the cause"

why? what's it all about?

Although by that point the only other options on the bench were Walker, Meshino and Avdijaj

Yup - we all thought it would be best to bring on someone more 'mobile' than Uche - I mind Walker doing quite well from left-wing-back for a few games a few seasons ago, for example.

Daniel knew better, of course.
