Again, what's happening in China is *fucking mental*. I see the WHO have finally spoken up about it. Perhaps time for so-called human rights groups as well?

The pinned thread on that boys feed of his 'journey' back to Shanghai from London is worse than Black Mirror.

The guys walking round in hazmat suits spraying disinfectant into the air must be doing more possible harm to peoples health then Covid could.

Hopefully pushes the last remaining hingers on, i.e. Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Austria, to file the final bits of theatre in the bin where they belong, never to return.

But what will perhaps be surprising to many is that England has actually had a similar rate of infection and a lower rate of Covid deaths during the Omicron wave – and since 19 July 2021, England’s “freedom day” – than Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, despite having far fewer mandatory restrictions, and none after 24 February. This “natural experiment” shows that having more mandates did not lead to better outcomes.

There was also no significant difference in overall excess mortality across the home nations to the end of 2021. And England’s is now likely to be lower as – somewhat remarkably, given the Omicron wave – excess mortality is negative in England for 2022 so far, with the lowest age-standardised mortality rates (the best comparator to previous years, as it takes population ageing into account) since the series began in 2001.

An absolute disaster for the 'keeping people safe' brigade, who deliberately ignored the evidence from England regarding the uselessness of mandates and the testimony of South Africa regarding Shanicron to put Scotland in an utterly pointless set of restrictions from December onwards.

Heads should be rolling for this.

It was fairly clear that despite the screeching of a certain group of weirdos, their approach was absolutely fine and should have been copied elsewhere sooner.

One thing to note is that England had substantially higher rates before that so they did possibly have somewhat more naturally immunity than we would have, but I'm not sure how much difference it would have made.

The Good Guys all knew it on here and stated as such at the time, yet The Simps dug their heels in. I wonder what the level of screeching will be as we enter this autumn/winter, though The Psycho Brigade seem nowhere to be seen anymore. I suspect there is absolutely no chance of anything happening or being suggested, even up here, given the cost of living crisis, additional energy price hikes, and the ongoing war in the east.

North Korea has finally joined in -'First' Covid cases prompt strict national lockdown

Will they even be able to tell the difference?

Could be very bad as they have zero vaccinations among the general population.

Yep. Heard this on radio. Their policy was to keep it out of the country. No vaccines administered at all. They turned down offers of vaccines from China and the US.

The dear leader thanks you for the complement.

100% he  has had a vaccine..

Apart from that, zero vaccine for the people, as the refused help from China.

Think everyone would be thankful if it just wiped them off the map at this point, tbh, North Koreans included.

In true horseshoe theory in action, some of the zero Covid psychos borderline blame the vaccines for making most of the rest of the world reckless in 'living with the virus'. I'm sure no vaccine coverage or prior immunity will work out swimmingly here.

Also, mind back when Detournement was telling us the vaccines were pointless as well? Remarkable times.
