Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Worth watching for an alternative view to most of us.

It's hard to try and do a counter argument to someone dealing with the situation of caring for a disabled person but the honest answer is - the changes to the advice are based on clinical advice, no-one should be leaving isolation unless they have at least two negative tests.  The balancing argument is that continuing with a ten day isolation means you have the potentially to negatively affect the healthcare for many, many people.

Shame that come April/May, just before the elections, that Macron is going to look like even more of an utter cretin when the hospitals are empty and cases probably at rock bottom too. It's going to be some crusade when nobody cares anymore.

'Your anecdotal experience and sentiment is irrelevant to setting public health policy for an entire country'.

Not that hard tbh.

Also the claim that 20% of the entire population of Scotland are being launched into de facto shielding because of a disability is complete and utter nonsense.

Hearing @Dawson Park Boy is stomping about Melbourne Airport in a rage flashing his laminated fake exemption certificate. Might have got the name wrong.

Sorry welshie, but going on hols next week and it looks like we don’t need to test prior to coming home.

Applying to England but I imagine wee Nikla will soon capitulate.

The exemption certificate is a great back up here in the UK just in case some officious p***k starts to question our non mask wearing.

Unfortunately, Jet2 don’t recognise it.

Plenty of pubs north of the border doing the exact same.

Worst pub I’ve been in by far was Brewdog Perth. I already thought it was a w**k place but this experience further compounded my opinion. Bear in mind that this was pre Christmas (and therefore pre new restrictions) when I went in with a couple of mates to meet some people. We were immediately barked at to put masks on, and escorted to a table. When we asked if we could go and join the others, the response was ‘there’s too many people on that side of the room’ 😂.

The boy then stood over us and watched like a hawk whilst we did the track and trace, an absolute gimp of a boy. There was no ordering at the bar and you had to order off this one barman who came over to take your order.

We quickly decided that this was absolutely shite and left without even sharing a pint to go to a normal pub.

The First Minister is Detournment-pilling people by the hour.

Aye I noticed this in a tweet I saw about England earlier.

It means they will be able to say a huge amount of people in ICU and dying are unvaxxed despite them being double vaxxed or even triple vaxxed.

I've just checked and you have to be 28 days past your booster to on the date of a positive test to count as vaccinated in the hospital figures now.

So third jag on the 7th of December, positive test yesterday and you could be in hospital next week as an unvaccinated Covidiot.

I'm not sure it's just England either.

Mask wearing compliance seems to have really dropped up here recently.

I do think that the silent majority are just complying because it's the law and not because they genuinely care about it anymore. Social media is IMO giving a very false impression of government support for restrictions. You can add polls as well because people responding to polls are more likely to be political in their responses so you'll see polarisation in the results which probably doesn't exist in real life for the majority.

I can understand people being reticent around Christmas because they didn't want their holidays wrecked but I do get the sense that people are progressively reaching a point where they're done with it all.

The other evidence which points to this is the increasingly shrill tweets by the lockdown loonies who can clearly sense the game is getting away from them. Some twitter timelines are showing signs of heads gone. Gurdasani looks on the verge of a complete mental breakdown. People like George Monbiot are talking about bursting into tears on a daily basis. Pagel and the rest are under constant attack too and are showing signs of being rattled to f**k. When the public turns, the public turns.

I am only wearing a mask in the shops, bars etc so as not to potentially create a problem for the staff. Never wore one outside or more bizarrely in the car and as soon as they are removed as a protection I will not be wearing one.
