Another fine display from The Times by posting an extremely controversial headline, not referencing said headline in the first couple of paragraphs and putting the rest behind a paywall. They're at it

Quite. He says this later on, but people demand certainty when nobody knows enough to guarantee anything next week far less 3 months away. In this climate guarded optimism is seen as fascism.

We are hopeful, and the data is now aligning. We have now got data from South Africa, from University College London, from Denmark, and crucially from Edinburgh that suggests serious disease is certainly less with this variant, maybe as much as three quarters less.

Why did you leave this bit out?

But lets put that in perspective — 2,500 Delta cases [per day] gets you 50 people in hospital, and we don’t take that lightly. You need 10,000 Omicron cases for the same number of admissions and Scotland is at 15,000 admissions, so it’s not one jump and you’re free.

Is it because it's indefensible nonsense that doesn't suit your argument?

I genuinely believe someone connected to the SG could come out and say the sea is pink and you'd find some way to defend them.

Something along the lines of Miliband at International Rescue or Nick Clegg at Facebook.

Only a moron would suggest SPECTRE.

Ach, I'm sure they're all just at the end of the WEF's tentacles anyway.

Even Labour are now carrying out a hypocritical pivot from their position barely a fortnight ago. The info must be starting to filter through that the majority of the public are simply done with it.

Also, I don't know whether or not I'm more gone at the boy thinking we'll have Hogmanay in April, like Devi thinking we could postpone last Christmas to April, or Leitch thinking we should care if there are 50 people going into hospital every day. Of course, any notion that this won't all be done a month from now is absolutely comical.

Bear in mind Clownshoes thinks the peak will be into February, which flies in the face of literally everything we’ve seen so far from anywhere else in the world.

Aye he’ll no doubt be in Sturgeon’s ear, but it’ll be neither the first nor last time he’ll be marginalised and sent into the corner with the dunce hat on.
