Completely agree with this. It's worth mentioning that those doing the modelling are not the ones making the decisions. Politicians are- a good politician should be asking questions about models (probably the same ones we are asking on this thread- though not about those nurse pictures) then come to an informed decision. I often think politicians should be taught basic statistics or data analysis because this will be what is presented to them to make decisions on.

What?  Those were models?  I thought they were real nurses 😡

Apparently modelling on the ScotGov website estimates that in three weeks the estimated daily cases could be between 15k and 130k (one hundred and thirty).

Wummin on reporting scotland said the second number almost with a straight face.
Leitch said on STV 10-20k per day was "almost guaranteed " within "weeks".

We simply don't have the PCR testing capacity to get close to some of the lunatic figures being banded about.

At 10% positivity we would need to be testing 1m + in Scotland alone to get close to 6 figs, laughable that people can't see how farcical those figs are.

Last night I was on the train, a few pubs, the Barras and the casino and it all felt extremely normal. Obviously pretty much everyone who was out on a weeknight during the Omicron hysteria does not give a f**k about Covid so it was good vibes everywhere.

OCS? Really cementing your reputation as P+B's spokesperson for the 90s here

London way out on it's own. 26k cases today - was 12k yesterday?

The least vaccinated area of the country by a distance.

They don't always stop you getting it and there's been a lot said about Omicron and efficacy, but it shows again how valuable they are.

Why is London’s vaccination rate so low?

I see you're back to trolling us all again. 🤣

Friday nights on the forum. You can't beat it.

I dunno man, you claim to be a dark professor of computational magic but you managed to get scientific modelling and crystal balls mixed up earlier, was that trolling? How about the devolved settlement? What sofa is it you think Nicola should be looking down the back of? And do you think she is responsible for the drop in trade in England too?

It's nearly Christmas, half the family are isolating from positive tests on the 14th so we're all under strict orders to stay in so we won't run the risk of missing the family get together. I have a full and superbly stocked cellar at my disposal (minus 2 Estrella and 2/3 of a bottle of properly exceptional Shiraz/ Cabernet Sauvignon). Mon then.

I got a free ticket from a hen pecked dropout. Not something I would have picked but it was a good atmosphere and great to be at the Barras for the first time since 2017.

I'm actually the spokesperson for taking eccies in the noughties. My massive media consumption as a 90s school kid just means I'm an expert in several fields.

Nicola Sturgeon hates the Sun. Unless it endorses her in an election.

Blair had to sell his soul to Murdoch for the same kind of coverage. I'd imagine the English Sun had a very different front page that day.
