The absolute state of those comments under Sturgeon's tweets. Folk begging her for more restrictions.

Here's an idea - just lock yourself in your own home. And if you're really bothered about masks, buy an FFP3 one, wear it and shut the f**k up.

Absolutely. More than a couple of folk essentially saying they are so immune compromised that it’s everyone else’s responsibility to keep them safe by not having any fun and not their own. That thinking can right in the bin.

So to clarify, you think the FM shouldn't have made a statement following an announcement by the Prime Minister because "she wasn't asked", and questioning your response is indulging in simping and whatboutery?

On the first point, I'd be extremely surprised if she hadn't been asked by multiple journalists for a response, and on the second, we know people would have slaughtered her for staying quiet if she hadn't.

But you stick to your cringeworthy patter, and declaring the pandemic over in the summer of 2020.

Fabricating a scenario to defend a statement by the FM, and then, when this fabrication is highlighted, switching to "but if she had been asked what else would she be expected to say" is absolutely textbook pathetic simp patter.

Ask yourself this. Given that NS was quite happy with the restrictions in place in Scotland at 6pm tonight, why was she suddenly not sure they would be enough at 7pm?

It couldn't possibly be because we are going to be exactly the same as England could it?

This utterly tiresome "we care so much more than the reckless toarrrrries" schtick can get fucked.

?

Are they suggesting that the police don't investigate crime unless someone else has investigated it first?

They’re saying their policy is not to investigate historic Covid breaches.  If the Cabinet Office hand them it on a platter they might actually bother to take a look at it though.

Tbh - I’m pretty sure if I went to the polis and said my neighbours had a massive party last Hogmanay so they need to pay them a visit, they’d tell me to piss off. Rightly so.

Not that I would mind, as I’m not a clype.

Didn't Starmer say today that there were prosecutions taking place today in London about breaches last December? Presumably they were reported by the local Neighbourhood Watch!

Your initial point suggested she was asked though... she wasn’t.

I have no idea why she would be slaughtered for not commenting further on England following her lead.

Do you honestly think that the FM of Scotland would not have been contacted for an immediate response following the Prime Minister's announcement?

This is true and I agree with the policy but if you happen to live at 11 Downing Street the circumstances are a bit different.

Quite right! Especially the way that they refused to apologise!

Oh, wait....

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-57259868

So far, BoJo has apologised for the video's effect on people's feelings, not, as I understand it, for the - what is it now - three parties in Downing Street. Not that much of a close comparison, really.

Can anyone clarify, if the supposed dead cat the restrictions to hide the lies being spun about the party or the party to sneak in the restrictions? It's not very clear what the supposed distraction is.

If Boris goes down so does Nippy's wee green beard Paddy. Greer and the transatlantic woman.
Isn't that one of the pictures of them in the pub after they reopened in the summer that was doing the rounds then ? Doesn't look like a Christmas party and there's nothing to place it happening during lockdown more's the pity as the Greens have shown themselves to be massive hypocrites over the last 18 months or so. Unfortunately that picture is taking no one down !

The party is the dead cat. Just like the Peppa Pig speech the other week.

These videos didn't just appear from the ether.

They broke the household limit.

Unlike the Aberdeen players Sturgeon didn't hold a press conference condemning them.

Think the rules were 3 households max at the time so they were in breach.  Harvie is from Glasgow which was in tier/level 3 so only essential work travel.  Can’t remember but don’t think the pubs were open in the weege at the time,

No matter how much they tried to dress it up as a work meeting they were taking the piss.

I can quite well believe there were more than a few people Lee Wallace'd by their neighbours, unfortunately. Some of these people were subsequently fined £10k for their troubles.

I get that it's harder to investigate stuff that happened a year ago, but the rules are supposed to apply to everyone. There is evidence it happened and no-one is saying charge people immediately. I can buy 'not enough evidence' insofar as prosecuting at the moment, but there is definitely reasonable suspicion it happened. It absolutely should be investigated.

Famously there are no offices in Holyrood......

I'm genuinely at a loss as to what further measures can be put in place. If NS is thinking of any form of lockdown or restrictions on socialising, hospitality or any other industry then she needs to just come out and say it rather than drip feeding it on twitter.

Without furlough she simply can't so I wouldn't fret about a lockdown

I genuinely think thats the worst part about it, tell people what you want, what the criteria are, what happened to the ‘adult conversation’?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I honestly think we will (like some other countries have done) require vaccination / negative test proof for all indoor hospitality and events irrespective of size.
