I think someone being okay with legally mandated face masks for the next decade can safely be classed as having antisocial tendencies, particularly as an attempt to point score against those who rationally believe they should be gone.

i think you need to look up ''anti social'' in the dictionary

Then, look up selfish.

Can't be too careful, better to be safe than sorry so I think we should relegate Hearts.

Well, if it's for the pubic good, it's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make. Can we wait until they've beaten Celtic at Parkhead on Thursday though? No point being a damn fool about it.

Contact tracing in England focusing on church goers and visitors to a KFC.

Churches??? Now surely this can't be right.

You can't catch COVID in a church.

Quite right. God'll protect the truly faithful.  If any churchgoer does happen to catch it, it just proves that they weren't truly faithful enough.

Would be great patter if they announce travel restrictions given I’ve just booked a January holiday to Cyprus the other week.

Not so sure it's the UK/Scotland you need to worry about here tbh, at least not yet. The variant is here so there's little point trying to buy time by increasing restrictions on countries that either don't have any reported cases or are reporting only a handful. Not that this doesn't mean measures will be implemented anyway, granted. We do.have history here after all.

The destination country is IMO the riskier part in case they do a Switzerland and start banning all countries that report a case.

Whether it’s Christmas or any other event, no one should be in a position whereby they fear their life being restricted in any way.

That some mentally vulnerable people (and others) may be at all concerned this could happen is a disgrace.

This is a good soundbite but in practical terms it doesn't actually have any meaningful substance to it. How do we prevent people from fearing that their life could be restricted?

Any government is going to react to this sort of story in the short term - simply publicly ignoring the existence of a new variant of concern is hardly a sensible approach for any country to take.

Fair point, suppose if they stop letting people in the airline is likely to cancel the flights too.

By stopping the drip feed of negativity and not allowing experts at arms length from Government (the likes of Leitch, Bauld, Sridhar) etc to share their conflicting opinions before decisions are made.

SkyNews saying authorities confirming community transmission in Scotland with some of the six cases having no travel history.

That means it's awready been here for some time, should be good thing as the sky hasn't fallen in & a sign to simmer the f**k doon but we all know it won't

From the news.

So why are we going into panic mode?

Because the sample size at the moment is far too low to draw any reasonable conclusion. It may turn out to be the case across the board, but we don’t know yet.

no need to panic yet, but still need to be cautious.
