Anyway I see scientists in Japan are suggesting that Delta is mutating itself put of existence. The idea that the virus will somehow mutate into a supervirus killer is simply daft. A virus mutates to make itself more transmissable but also less deadly as a result- exactly what has happened with Delta. God knows what it would have been like if we hadn’t had the 3 doses plus the flu jab. What this tells me is that the disease is now endemic, we’re all going to get it at some time or other, most of us will recover but, sadly, some of us will die as happens to all humans. alta-pete Posted November 24, 2021 Share Posted November 24, 2021 Started to feel a bit ropey Sunday, went to work Monday (I work alone before the Nervous Nellies start), gave in at lunchtime and went for a test, positive result confirmed yesterday. Then the emails and text messages start piling in before a call from Test & Protect from some bint sat at her kitchen table, her mobile on loudspeaker and with various weans and dugs as the backing track. Kinda knew what it was before the test and with the benefit of hindsight I probably wouldn’t now gone through the whole rigmarole, and should have just bunkered down for a week and avoided everyone.
