Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Was at the Riverside Museum Glasgow on Sunday. The Stewards made you scan the QR code or write down your contact details. Everyone wore masks as challenged at the entrance. Place was pretty rammed and the usual brats running wild.
Later parked the car at St Georges cross and took the Mrs and the youngest on the Subway as they never had been on it before to go to Buchanan Street. What a mistake. No one enforcing mask wearing and was fucking rammed mainly with student types. The super spreading selfish c***s of the species not wearing masks. Shops pretty busy and most now wearing masks. It shows that when compelled to, the vast majority will wear masks.
Overall it's noticeably an age divide in mask wearing as you say. However come winter flu season, f**k sitting on public transport with all those younger selfish c***s coughing and spluttering as it will be rife among them. No doubt A&E will be full of them wanting their mammy in their staunchness! Whilst those really needing care will die in the wait because of those c***s.

f**k me must be the first time you've left your house this year with how cautious you're being.

My life hasn't changed any during Covid, except when shops were closed and haven't got back to our second home abroad.

Must be changing your pants alot more since covid due to you being on here soiling yourself after reading some classic scare stories.

It was over 65s until this year, along with other categories like carers etc.

Yeah it must have been. My mum is 64 and was never offered the flu vaccine until this year.

She had the AZ vaccine but wont take the booster if its Pfizer. Guess shes old school and still believes "medicines" shouldn't be mixed

Has any evidence been published showing that boosters are actually necessary? I know Israel seems to be going down that route and I think. The UAE I think did likewise as Sinovac turned out to perform poorly, but it doesn't seem like you have other European countries doing the same.

JCVI will presumably publish their evidence for over 50s.

i've had the misfortune to have been in Glasgow at the behest of the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board, very ''professional'' and safe, left to their own devices though, in supermarkets and such like, weegies can't be trusted.

Well thought out plan right? No fucking wonder we get surges with these incompetent b*****ds. Just couldn't make this shite up!.......

"Javid unveils 'plan B' for winter if Covid situation gets worse, including vaccine passports and making masks compulsory

Javid says this is plan A.

But there is also a plan B, he says, in cases the situation deteriorates.

He says plan B would involve:

Communicating to the public urgently “the need for caution”

Making face masks compulsory in some settings

Requiring vaccine passports in some settings

Asking people to work from home.

No fucking wonder the public get confused. What you would do to prevent a surge, he is doing AFTER a surge. Fucking vote catching lunatics and c***s vote for them.

Nicola again gets in right!

I trust if Nicola gets it all so right, you’ll now be encouraging your children to get vaccinated?

Strange that AZ has suddenly been shelved. I wonder what the real reason behind this decision is ????

Also interesting that many leading scientists believe this booster jag to be pretty pointless / unproven benefits, yet we're intent on proceeding anyway.

All very strange, especially when you factor in the cost of Pfizer against AZ.

Someone must be doing VERY well out of this deal.....

AZ spoke out last week against boosters. Have to imagine that is at least part of the reasoning.

An increase in taxes is not needed to provide funding to the NHS. A decrease in the defence budget and permanently scrapping nonsense vanity projects like Trident and HS2 can be our starting point, as well as a rationalisation of how the health system actually operates.

Simply throwing 'more taxes' at the problem is not going to work on its own and is hardly sustainable either.

Scrapping HS2 won't free up funding for the NHS.
