Too many people are being pinged, what do we do? Let's exempt people, but only the NHS. And only in "exceptional circumstances" .

These measures are supposed to be relaxed for the double vaccinated in August, but they are causing problems now. This is the Government pretending to do something about it whilst not actually doing anything.

I suppose they could come up with some entirely legitimate pilot scheme where the Prime Minister and Chancellor just happen to be two of the randomly selected test subjects.

Post viral fatigue I believe it used to be called back in the simpler time’s of 2019 and everything before it

Yep, that's precisely what it is, but of course the media need to make it sound as bad as possible.

Is that the one you only know you're part of the pilot after you're pinged?

I know a handful of people who have still lost their taste and smell 6-10 months on from initial infection but there is not a chance that this sort of thing is a valid reason to be extending restrictions. At worst it’s a mild inconvenience to the sufferers.

Yep, you can't catch a loss of smell.

That Bangles guy does that to people almost relentlessly, he gets quite frustrated that Nicola Sturgeon wont answer him, tbf she cant even have ‘an adult conversation’ so little chance of that. Hes had replies from Putin apparently.

Whilst I completely agree it’s insane to use this as an argument to extend restrictions, losing sense of taste would make me verging on suicidal. Minor inconvenience is a wild take.

I hate that guy so much. I think it's partly irrational at some point. Someone once followed me and I looked at their page and they would RT this guy and seemed to @ him compliments all the time, mind boggling behaviour.

I meant the cheese guy in fairness! 😂

The first guy is definitely suspect though. One thing throughout this time period I've found weird but not too surprising is the selfies as people are lying in a hospital bed, some people would have done this nonsense before but with covid being so common it's normalised it.

Both negative.

My wife is obviously the plague carrier, I've half a notion to horse her out into the garden shed and paint a red cross on the door.

All joking aside, she's nearly recovered, the vaccine is obviously doing its job (Astra Zeneca).

Good news!

P.S. I mean about your wife and family, not that you've got a garden shed..

Great stuff. Glad she's on the road to recovery.

And the youngest grandchild, who hasn't been in contact with us for a fortnight, has also tested negative, so she must have a bug of some description. (She's running a very high temperature.)
