Because I'd end up in a half hour "coversation" about f*** all. The entire family are the sort of people to whom you say "Hello" only and keep moving.

Even a simple "Good Morning" is fraught with danger.

Sounds like he’s a real pane.

Log in via the mobile app and it should be fairly straight forward. Go to the disrupted flight and you have the options mentioned above, refund or rebook. You need to go into every flight individually, if there is more than one cancelled.

Not sure if I’m being dense here but where on the mobile app? I was able to login on the website and it only allowed me to change the date of my flight.

Just kind of glaze over, aye?

Regarding construction sites, there's a huge difference round the country due to the mixed messages. Gove said stay open, Sturgeon said close. My colleagues in England say 90% of their factories supplying sites are staying open. Up here, 90% of mine are closed or closing. The exception was one who stayed open and got a visit from the police this morning:

"Why are you open? Why are all these people in the factory? What do you think you're doing?"
"Government said building sites to stay open"
Cop slowly looks around factory and says "Does this look like a fucking building site to you? Get it shut, NOW" (direct quote)
I really hope this is true.

Harsh advice needed to businesses still open that shouldn't be.

The vast majority will buckle when spoken to by police in a firm manner.

Can’t say I agree.  The police are there to enforce the law, not to make up laws.

We walked down to Westerwood Hotel, took in the view from the first tee of their golf course, turned around and walked home. About forty minutes each way. Encountered one woman walking the dog, one lassie jogging. Fair amount of cars out and about though. Back home for the day now. Kettle on. Exercise over for today. Eyeing up a chunky KitKat, but trying to ignore the voices telling me ‘eat it, eat it...’.

In order to take temptation from you, send it to me. Anything to help another P&B er

Sorry, were construction companies oblivious to what has been going on over the last three weeks? Were they carrying out their building on Mars and couldn't get a decent Wifi reception? They should have been preparing for an end to their entirely non-essential business practice in the near future. If they haven't done so already then that's just tough: they can let their current works rot or fall apart, suck up the costs of their foolishness and start over again when the coast is clear.

In between some genuinely serious questions, there was some bint phoning Jeremy Vine this morning asking about whether getting the construction man to finish off furnishing her bathroom was essential seeing as she still had a "wobbly toilet seat".  When Vine asked why she decided to get it started last week, she didn't take particularly kindly to being put on the back foot and being accused of being part of the problem.  Everything appears to be non-essential until it applies to them.

No doubt covered but not got time to read.
Are tourists being kicked out of our hotels ? Or put in isolation ?
Still find it odd some poor sod in Japan with a booking for a fortnight's golf at StAndrews still finds his flight is not cancelled but his hotel is shut.
Something still not right.
Why are flights for tourists not stopped.

The hotels thing is weird. Alan Partridge would be out on the streets

Hard to get over the stupidity.  Particularly when you realise there could be thousands and thousands of these idiotic arseholes out there.

Fishmongers open and Adams Newsagents if you want to buy face masks at a pound a pop. Bags of latex gloves at 2.99 in Barrets.

Nice. I went adventuring there, but only up the top end as I had to go to the Post Office.

Can confirm the good news everyone needed to hear - the sushi counter in Waitrose is open.

My EasyJet flights were cancelled and I pressed the “refund” rather than “rebook” button. Got an email saying it’s getting process but f**k all in the bank yet. Better come in before they go tits up.

How long was it cancelled? Was it international or domestic?

The scary thing about that is there’s probably millions of people who share her views.

Correct.
Toilet roll lasted until 8am, paracetamol was before 7am and same with hand wash.
We opened at 6
Went to the wee local Coop after 12 today, bread, milk and loo roll on the shelves, reasonable variety of bacon, burgers etc too. Won't need to go near a shop again until Friday or Saturday.
