Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

This was us on Friday. All negative.
Who'd have guessed!

On another note, is it across the country now that under 40's are getting the Pfizer? The nurse told me that no one under the age of 40 is getting offered the Oxford one down here but wasn't sure if that was across the board.

Is this genuinely likely going to be another 10 weeks or do we have previous for leaking stuff out to the press which is the absolute worst case scenario so the shit news they deliver doesn't seem as bad as it actually is?

It's the exact opposite.

3 weeks to flatten the curve. 2 week circuit breaker. 10 weeks means we will be under restrictions until Spring at least.

The 10 weeks comment was from Leitch, from what I can see of the article. Not sure why it's Yousaf's photo (unless there's something from him further down).

It will be interesting to see if this bears out, Leitch, Bauld, Sridhar etc. can talk about extending lockdowns etc. but the cabinet will be the ones that make the decisions.

I hope they'll realise that the harm from continuing restrictions now significantly outweighs the threat from the virus, and has done for some time.

Won't hold my breath though.

It's what it'll be, they'll just be giving everyone the news early so the anger dissipates a bit by the time it's announced.

After the 10 weeks there will either be another variant, or we'll be told its "too close" to flu season and they don't want to lift restrictions only to have to bring them back in, so they'll just keep us under them until Spring.

Then April comes and we're told there's a new variant, but the booster shot is available in July, so we'll just keep restrictions to protect the vulnerable to the point most are jabbed.

Then we'll be told cases are too high so we'll just keep restrictions for another 10 weeks to make sure everyone gets the jab.

And so on, and so on.

Power hungry morons who have no idea what they're doing, single handedly killing more folk with the restrictions than if they lifted them, but too dense to understand that.

Scotlands restrictions will end when furlough ends. Given we don't have the means to carry it on ourselves, any restrictions on business without a safety net behind them will be challenged in the courts.

I have no doubt they know

they are just a shower of c***s unwilling to let go of extra powers they have gained over the past 18 months

Complete government overreach now. Scottish government have lost it.

Could imagine a scenario where the UK is back to normal by end of the year while we are still in restrictions because we just don’t know

Yes all too easy to imagine that. Finances will dictate otherwise I suspect.

Hopefully furlough ends and forces their hand. Its fucking scary how so many of the left of centre politicians in Labour, SNP etc have been absolutely desperate for strict lockdowns and controls which are no longer merited.

Pathetic shite, being added to an absolute binfire of pathetic shite from this government. They are fucking disgusting. And, regardless of whether you support Indy and hate the tories, anyone backing this performance from the SNP has no place in a reasoned discussion. Absolute. Fucking. Garbage

There is no difference between any of the UK governments just the way they lie about it.

Drakeford was honest and said 2021 is a write off. The SNP constantly promote caution and vague timescales. The Tories just outright lie.

My prediction is there will be a full lockdown later this year and digital ID passport will be offered as a route out of it as it is currently being used to facilitate International travel and crowds at Wembley.
