Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not a headline we thought we’d see. An absolute fucking disgrace we’ve landed in a situation where politicians are screaming for masked, distanced people to need a vaccine passport to attend a football match.

Something about simps.

Right?

Exactly, all this American shite patter for anyone defending the Scottish government,
Full scale hatchet job for having the audacity to allow 6000 distanced people outdoors in a massive fucking park ( how would you control that on a normal day?)
This is the first and only concession they have made since all this began

This as other countries are allowing full stadiums
Meanwhile the telfon tories just lurch from one farce to another

Its the governments own fucking fault for preachong the narrative they have, most especially since the vaccines came on the scene.

Reap what you sow. The government could draw these media c***s into line easily regarding their screeching about safety no problem. That they choose not to is fully down to their insistence on not backing the vaccines, telling the public its all their fault, telling people they are criminals under a multitude of perfectly normal curcumstances etc etc etc.

If the govt cant be honest about what needs to be achieved to get back to normal life, and stop allowing folk to think they have a right to be protected from specific germs at an increasingly outlandish cost, then storied like this would carry less weight. Sky are beating scotgovs back with their own rod.

No defence of Sky either, but the blame doesnt just go their way.

It wouldn't matter what they did - this is just Baillie and Cole-Hamilton being SNP baaaaaad.

If they had gone ahead and cancelled the fanzone you can guarantee that Jabba would have still complained.

They can lead the recovery, put that first and put the mesaage across that people are now as safe as they can realistically expect to be made  courtesy of the vaccines, or they can continue to pander to a completely vague idea of SaFeTy!!!!

They arent doing the first one, they have given and continue to give everyone who opposes them an opportunity to say "but you said....." because they have never really altered their mesaaging, and even when Sturgeons tone has shifted in the last few weeks slightly, clowns like Yousaf come out and tell folk soft play = murdering kids.

Take this ridiculous fanzone caper. They could have killed that stone dead, instead we have Jason and the guys debating whether yoy are allowed to take an Alpen bar into Hampden and the elected govt of an actual country telling us you can have 1 type of beverage but not the other. Its pathetic, and they are asking for this type of media shite.

14k yesterday and 36k today. I'm guessing there was some kind of issue yesterday?

My test results from Monday didn’t come back as quickly as they normally do so more than likely.

Yeah, and Edinburgh are going up to Level 3, and there will be no drink in the Fanzone

i’m not sure you could be any more negative if you tried.

I asked a similar question earlier today, though hoping someone in the know can answer.

As I understand the Scottish emergency coronavirus act is linked entirely to the UK act and the powers within are only devolved through that legislation.

Can someone with more understanding of it all advise if the UK bins the Coronavirus Act, does that also mean the Scottish act can’t be enforced / naturally comes to an end as it is tied to the powers granted by the UK in exceptional circumstances?
