Detournement
Also public opinion no longer matters. All the parties have the same policy on Covid. It has been completely negated as a political issue despite it's huge impact. That may change when people realise that getting double jagged hasn't ended this but I see more and more signs that the majority of people are getting comfortable with the New Normal.
Bairnardo
Shout from the school at 8 this morning to say daughters class isn't to go in, because someone in the class might have covid. Not confirmed, might Meltdowns everywhere, folk without a clue who has to isolate etc.

There has already been chat about Pfizer only giving protection to geriatrics for a period of months. If this confirmed then it pretty much guarantees a winter lockdown as well. Whatever seasonal respiratory illness pops up this year will be used to justify it. This pretty much. If they don't lift the restrictions by August then they will be here until next spring.

None of the above are 'human rights issues' by any credible definition of the term, as opposed to special pleading about different minority groups/vulnerable categories who got impacted alongside everybody else. If Ms McAuliffe wants to start a genuine debate about rights, then she can slap the entire policy of lockdown as well as arbitrary travel bans/quarantines on the table instead of these absolutely ridiculous Guardian comment-fodder concerns.
mizfit
Fanzone to go ahead with alcohol sales included. Leitch to spit his dummy out and Shridhar to claim it’s not fair on those making sacrifices. Nicos bar to declare they’ve joined the reform party.

I reckon they'll shit their pants again and it'll be zero alcohol. The Simps will zone in on the English moving the 21st June date for some reason as Scotland continues to lag behind again. Proof of negative test to get in I reckon.

Whats the point of this article? Why is it there? There isn't actually a story to be told there, just a platform for various invested individuals to tell people why working at the office is best for them......... Thought the same TBH. A think tank that is dedicated to "understanding and improving the economies of the UK's largest cities and towns" is hardly going to say "Yeah we think that people should be working from home".
