Daily Cases Update:   A decent day with small drops in cases and another tenth on infectivity. Most real progress is in the Cigar smokers who are all cementing their places. Edinburgh & Aberdeen continue to fall in a cloud of smoke. Special mention for the scummier (Not my quote) part of Dunbartonshire who have lit up again, while their compadres have a small rise.

Looking at the top Clacks presumably has problems again at the HMP Screws love breaking the rules Glenochil.  In West Lothian numbers are high in many neighbourhoods so not a localised outbreak.

Nationally I see lockdown has ended in Belfast. Good to see the youth of today out enjoying themselves. Nice to see figures dropping from the shockers in Europe, however Sweden rocketing up the charts.

Scotland peaked at 301.9 for figures 29th Dec to 4th Jan, (UK was 642.1)    Cases that day were 16,496 and test positivity rate was 11.9%

Total Cases 7 days from 31st March to 6th April  were  2368 now 2331 down 1.56%. Positivity was 2.1% now 2.0%.   Cases per 100k were 43.3 now 42.7

Home Nations Daily update:  UK Average  39.0 to 37.3 down 4.36%, England 38.6 to 37.0 down 4.15%,  Wales  22.7 to 21.7 down 4.41%, Northern Ireland 41.9 to 38.2 down 8.83% & a couple of 🚌 and 🚔

NHS Progress  Forth Valley 70.4 to 70.4, Greater Glasgow  59.8 to 58.1, Lanarkshire  57.0 to 56.5, Fife 51.4 to 55.7  the rest all under Scottish average.

European (Above 2 Million Population) : Hungary 499 to 422, Serbia  515 to 414, Poland 470 to 391, Sweden 357, France 415 to 293,

Council progress in last 24 Hours as follows.

As I said last year the people measuring air filtration on planesare probably very similar to the  people who measured VW emissions.

I can't view this, but does it explain how, if they are so shit, the entire aircraft containing the family with the super dooper contageous brazil variant didn't test positive?

thought the red list wasn't out yet.

There's been a red list for a while.  If you come back from a red list country you have to go into managed quarantine.

Are these not countries on the current list where we will not be accepting any of their population only repatriating brits? I thought all visitors to the UK had to go to quarantine as travel corridors are shut. He'll bypass any quarantine is he will be classed an essential worker😂

Smashing thread.
Looking excellent for the transmission question based on that, and pretty much every other data source for weeks, but I guess we just don't know so best not take any chances.
To the best of my recall, there hasn't been a single instance of the vaccine falling short of expectations. Even the scaremongering over the SA variant is way less than is reported.

The vaccines have exceeded what was assumed to be possible. Amazing stuff.

J&J vaccine also being assessed for blood clot risk.

4 instances and 1 death in the US but absolutely no context supplied in terms of numbers administered in the article.

Our GP sent my wife's vaccine letter to our old address and due to the letter not getting back in time she missed her original appointment, we found this out today,  She's got one on Monday though.

Typical scum vermin missing appointments, when I've not even had mine. Would make sure this scum are back of the queue, lucky not to be in jail. Probably the same vermin I see in Tesco.

Because younger age groups aren't really affected by the virus so there's no incentive to get one?

These are people over 50, the article mentions people not returning for their second jag.

There can't be many areas that are that far on they are already vaccinating 40 somethings.

The only folk pissing me off more than Leitch and these other lockdown fanatics are the media, who have almost without exception been an absolute disgrace. Chasing dramatic headlines which are undoubtedly fucking with people's heads and fuelling the conspiratorial pish of anti-vax nutjobs with no recriminations is utterly unacceptable.

Devi Sridhar is at this point little better than a literate Facebook Maw with a blue tick. The sooner she's punted back to whatever irrelevant shite she was doing before, the better.

Agree with this but to be fair, the inability of the public to read behind the headline and get some fucking perspective is just downright embarrassing. You're seeing it on this thread and all over social media in general.

Some of it is bordering on mass hysteria. People have to take some blame for allowing themselves to turn into shrieking morons.

Sounds great...

Sounds utter shite. It’s a shame that sitting in the hoose with your mates will be more enjoyable than sitting in a stadium watching your country at the Euro’s.

I'll say it again - you would look at this and never would you think we had an effective vaccine.

Why are we still being treated like we're in May 2020?

No talk of LFT or vaccine passports (unless I missed it) which is pleasing. As for the rest, just the same shit we had during the test events at Murrayfield/Aberdeen/Ross County when there was no vaccine 🙄

staying in your seat? Have you to wait for an escort to the toilet ffs
