What's happening ? Is this coronavirus still a thing then ?
We're just over halfway to the total number of pages in the BRALT btw.
Keep it up lads.

Wait, that’s still a thing?

Given they know where it is concentrated it feels like a more proportionate response might have been to move as much mobile testing into the areas as possible, get as much of the surely by now under used testing capacity working there and redirect vaccine doses to get everyone over 18 in those areas and surrounding areas dosed up as quickly as possible.
Either that or nuke Pollockshields.

You voted for a bunch of dogwhistle racists to conduct dawn raids to drag people out of their homes. Sit down and shut up with your authoritarian drivel then.

Gordonton you don't get to engage in serious discussion with people after lashing out like a petulant child.

Stop being such a pick me. Calm down and have a fruit shoot.

Boris Johnson is a fucking moron

Simply put all countries on red list from start

Should resign immediately

Because of snivelling political cowardice, Johnson stood back and allowed tens of thousands to pour in from India, when it was obvious the country was in the middle of a growing crisis.

It's truly horrific decision making.

Still failing to understand why travel in and out of Glasgow being restricted is now a thing given level 3 doesn't call for that presently.

Some would think they are just making this shit up on the fly. Especially given Glasgow in general isn't riddled but only 3 particular areas are badly affected.

So they are effectively saying infected folk can move about locally (amongst a city of circa 600k people, over 10% of the population) from high infection areas to low or non-infected areas, as long as they don't leave the city limits? I mean is that wise if it as dangerous as they are hell bent on telling us it is?

Have they actually fucking given any thought to this whatsoever?

If everywhere is level 3 then travel restrictions are pointless, it's the moving from a lower level to a higher level they want to stop.

I'm just surprised that this time they've not lumped the People's Republic of North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas in with Glasgow this time.

Is the travel restrictions immediate or is it Monday and more to do with the rest of the surrounding authorities moving into a lower level that is triggering it. Either way you make a good point, it makes no sense to let people from Pollockshaws West to travel to say the city centre but not to a more rural area.

That's fair enough, but someone fired on the cases map yesterday. Pollockshaws East and West are surrounded by areas literally unaffected currently. So you can essentially still travel internally within a city that is almost completely unaffected outwith 3 areas.

Surely in a city of over half a million that is reckless and dangerous if you believe their narrative that safety is paramount and this outbreak is a major concern to public health.

It's the same mistake 3rd time round

Start of pandemic, holidays and travel allowed last summer, now leaving many countries off hotel quarantine red list

Three times he has made the same mistake

Australia shown throughout what should be done

The man is a half wit

Then you never will.

Nah, they could've decided to go ahead with the move to level 2 despite the concerns, then shut things down a week after opening them when the figures get even worse next week. That would cause even more hassle for everyone. Besides, they've been pretty cautious all along, immaterial of whether you agree with that approach or not, it's no surprise they chose to continue to be cautious today.

Except to a few people here obviously.

The figures that actually matter are fucking sensational. If anything higher case numbers which don’t translate to serious illness or death is actually a massive good news story, and certainly shouldn’t be holding back easing of restrictions. This utter nonsense above is infuriating.
