effeffsee_the2nd
Does this 'public health expert' even brush her own teeth? Any P&Bers know of a dentist she could call?
stuart87
Do these ‘experts’ understand the implication of what they are saying? Never mind not being able to do so many of the things we enjoy doing, this will leave millions of people jobless and their families struggling badly when support is stopped. Meanwhile they will be able to continue with their careers. I’m really trying to get my head round if they know this is what will happen.

madwullie
Thinking about that shit poem from earlier, you've got to imagine that lockdown will have finally given time to the millions of deluded c***s out there who think they have a novel in them and just need to be able to sit down and write it. f**k working at the submissions dept of a publishing house in the next 6 months or so.

Who the f**k are these people and why are they being given air to speak about what will actually be a govt policy decisionShe wasn’t asked to elaborate, which I thought was very poor from someone of marr’s experience. Something as simple as asking her “surely you don’t mean that all of the current masks and 2 metre rules will stay in place for years? To which she could have said “ oh no of course not, perhaps people will continue to work from home or there won’t be so many people crammed into a small space when they are at work, or we may ask people to cover their face when they visit a gp for instance “ which might have cleared things up Or if she had answered “ oh yes very much so”Then they marr could have cut her off clyde 1 style “ well that was mary in london, wonder what some of you will make of that statement!

Quarantine at home on return from a villa in the South of France? Not a problem for them. These people aren't like you and I. This is their one moment where the very things they (apparently) specialise in, just happens to be the biggest global event since WWII. Michael W
Quite a lot of the dampers being applied from the experts today, which I'm sure is entirely coincidental on the day the UK gave a dose of the vaccine to 1.3% of its population.

In addition to the one month delay in the vaccine programme caused by the Indians blocking vaccine exports, there's set to be a further two month delay caused by the EU blocking exports.

I cant say I blame them tbh. We were told the vaccine was our way out of this, now they're shifting goalposts and talking about social distancing, masks, large crowds, foreign travel being a thing that could possibly not happen for the foreseeable (as in 2021). Why would they be queuing up to take a vaccine when A - they're fit and healthy and would only suffer mild symptoms and B - their normality is being frowned upon by moonhowler advisors.
buchan30
Hospital numbers going down faster than Daniel Stendel’s Hearts team, pleasing.Does this mean that they are being demoted, Rather than going down? Don't think the delay will matter a great deal, I think we need to minimise waste mean time including a register of those living closest to the vaccination Hibs that can be called in to get doses of vaccines that would otherwise be chucked out. But regardless we should have blasted through all the at risk groups by late spring.
