Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Staycations maybe allowed in the summer omg so quick.
That was a bizarre statement. She has been at pains to emphasise that in their opinion the virus was "re-seeded" last year via travel from abroad. If we are banning travel to / from abroad then why would there be an issue opening up domestically if the biggest perceived "threat" has to all intents and purposes been eliminated. Add in a vaccine rollout and none of this uber caution makes much sense in a domestic sense.

Possibly another lockdown later this year.
This is never ending is it.

Stop being greedy, you'll get your 2 week summer holiday where you're allowed to leave your local area even though nothing will be open before the winter lockdown.

I fancy Saltcoats this summer, I hear it's nice.

Bloody hell Nicola, not even throwing us a glimmer of hope here

If we're still in this situation in a years time then i expect mass riots across the country. This isn't the way to live.

Avoid future lockdown

Just f**k off. The touting of future lockdown in particular is a joke. These c***s need to be taken to court over this as soon as the case numbers allow it.

AH'LL TELL YE THIS NOW..... Theres absolutely no fucking way I will ever respect rules imposed only household again for covid, unless the hospitals are quite literally bursting at the seams. She is absolutely expecting to react to an increase in cases at any future point with lockdown etc.

Asymptomatic testing in Spetember shows a 6% positivity rate, shut the whole lot down [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] NS is crossing over into Sanctimonious zoomer territory I'm afraid.

I think this points to something getting eased consistently every three weeks, nothing sooner. The caveat to that will be if/when the schools drive infection numbers back up as they did consistently in the second half of 2020.

I think you're going to be looking at May before anything like gyms or cafes open again.

Presumably tackling the pandemic will take priority and she will announce that she is not be closing parliament and she will be cancelling the May election.

Quite rightly, the sitting government does not have the power to simply cancel elections.
