Still no explanation as to how the pallet burners have managed to both prioritise care homes and batter on with the overall programme, while tilting at windmills with this 'but whit England's daein is unfair!' hot take.

NHS is one of the biggest employers in Scotland with plenty staff working from home or divertable etc, im baffled as to how anyone thought the ‘we couldnt vaccinate others as we are prioritising care homes’ brief was going to convince anyone.

As deflection tactics go, this Liverpool-esque mock outrage is utterly tragic. Even by your own abysmally low standards of 'contribution'.

Had the pfizer vaccine at the Vale of Leven hospital, wife got hers in inverclyde, friends got it in Ayr, there’s people on this thread who’ve had it in inverness at GP surgeries. It absolutely can be transported. The Scottish Government have had the best part of a year to plan the logistics of this and we’ve known about the storage implications for at least six months. The NHS and Sage etc have all the experts at their beck and call, im not buying the ‘but the pfizer vaccine is too hard to use’ excuse anymore.

Is there anything in the daily figures about wasteage? 650 doses in one day at the Louisa Jordan?
That's a shocking wastage.

Why can't they open up an hour long "walk in" period at the end of the daily appointment schedule for anyone to turn up and get jagged.

That would at least reduce wastage and I'm sure there will be plenty takers.

Wastage had to be Pfizer as that concept doesn't exist with AZ as it's not frozen to start with. Have heard some locations drawing up short notice lists for these eventualities sure someone on here said it was mostly Council staff.

Some public sector workers were getting jags, police and fire etc as they were able to attend at short notice around Glasgow. G4S spat the dummy out and banned them from the site so they could get their security guards from all over vaccinated even though most are just sitting in wee huts with no public interaction.

It was Pfizer as that’s what is being given at the Louisa Jordan. There can be wastage with the AZ one too as it has to be used within a certain period of removal from the fridge. But what the mrs and most GP practices are doing is printing the lists and phoning people to fill spaces that crop up through non attendance to minimise actual doses having to be destroyed.

It’s a derogatory term for residents of Northern Ireland.

If you think that burning pallets is 'derogatory' then you probably want to avoid Northern Ireland's cultural high point of the year every July.

Personally I'm sick of this "race" nonsense and daily questions of "they've done this but we've only done that" sort of pointless patter.

But it is a "race". A race against the virus, as acknowledged by NS herself.

A race we're currently getting horsed in.

Well... no. The SG have defended (and been defended on) how slow their roll out has been by saying they were prioritising care homes first.
England, on the other hand, appear to have managed to get through much more per capita whilst also managing to get through their care homes too.
When your flagship defence is exposed for the smokescreen it is, then criticism is absolutely fair.
Ive said it before but it genuinely is staggering how far people are willing to bend over backwards to avoid criticising the SG.
Offering and administering are not the same thing.

You've got some "enjoyable" reading ahead of you if you're just at that post mate 😁
