One of the arguments for a more laid back Swedish sort of approach is that if you obsess over COVID-19 too much there will inevitably be collateral damage elsewhere. Except in Sweden they panicked the same as here by emptying the hospitals and stuffing elderly covid suspects in badly prepared care homes. Not sure how much the rest of their healthcare suffered. Apart from allowing strictly segregated bars and restaurants to stay open, there wasn't a lot of difference, aside from keeping schools open for under 16s which would have a few on here raging.
