As an aside, it's rather perplexing that we've still got quarantine rules on the likes of Portugal and Poland when the UK is hugely worse off in terms of infections and prevalence of the virus within society in general ????

But, why would we want to risk adding even more cases from other countries - we are doing fine on that score without any help?

Well, my point would be that you can travel to Manchester where it's 350+ per 100,000 but the apparent reasoning for not going to say Poland was because they had seen "a rapid increase", now this is true, if you take going from 26 per 100,000 in mid August to 49 in early October, however for the same time period we have gone from 21 to 175 so as you can probably see, I don't quite understand the science involved here ??

How did we go from doing 20 thousand tests a day 6 or so weeks ago to now around 6k ? That’s pish in anyone’s books nah?

Pretty sure that's just the NHS tests and doesn't include the UK tests.

So, what is left for them to do? Shut pubs and restaurants?

If you've not to stay at home and schools are staying open, what else is there?

They could ban any household mixing, no garden or park visits etc.

As others have mentioned, the SG need to be seen to be doing something about the steady increase in cases. School Holidays and what’s left of the JRS/Furlough payments to Oct 31st, perhaps gives them an opportunity to try and put the lid back on things for a few weeks, using a ‘circuit break’? Think we’re all resigned to the fact that it will be a temporary halt only, before we’re back to square one before Christmas. As schools and businesses reopen, its inevitable, even with restrictions in place.
In the meantime, guess we just have to be responsible and sensible as individuals, whilst a herd immunity hopefully continues to slowly build in the background. The last few months have shown us that the governments at both Holyrood and Westminster seem just as helpless as the rest of us feel.

I find Leitch incredibly patronising.

Whats worse you seem to hear the c**t every time you put the telly on or youtube or the like.

Leech says we know a lot more now than we did at the start of lockdown on 23 March

Well i'll be damned !
