I ventured into your Tesco yesterday. What an absolute shambles in comparison with the other places I've been. No-one at the door to limit entry, no anti-bacterial stuff on offer, no trolleys being cleaned, the station where the anti-bac is usually kept was fucking minging with fluid, no structure in Tesco, staff blocking aisles & just a complete free for all really.  I feel your frustration - Didn't imagine it being quite so bad.

Should of have put a complaint in.

Dosnt sound good.

Limit has been upped sadly.

You picked a good day for it. Was first day of more numbers in and no one way system.

Free for all indeed

You kinda lost the right to bitch about people 'bringing the virus' into your workplace when >90% staff chose not to wear their provided/own bought face coverings for three months solid.

Tbh that post was for you sweet cheeks.

Keep on top of things  🙂

I haven’t. I’ve never liked anything covering my nose, plus I’ve always questioned the logic of breathing in exhaled air repeatedly. I think the wearing of masks here is about 3 months too late. Just don’t see the logic when new cases and deaths are so low. Anyway, we’ve been told to do it so we shall do it from tomorrow
You arent breathing in exhaled air repeatedly. If you did that, you would be dead.

21 days until next review and I do not see us moving to phase 4 then, but here’s hoping we might be allowed to football stadiums soon.

I've heard this "why are we only just being told to wear masks three months after locking down?" argument several times.

Surely it's the case that three months ago hardly anyone was (well, should have been) venturing outside their own house, and so masks weren't a necessity? Whereas now a lot more people are out and about and wearing masks will allow that to be done reasonably safely?

Oddly sensible question from Carlaw rather than the usual mindless moan from him.

I toyed with Dieppe a week on Wednesday. Decided against as didin't feel it was right.
My plan B if no Arc is Fairyhouse for the Hattons Grace meeting the month after. If no crowds by then the world is gubbed !

A huge amount of my non-work ‘relaxation’ (football, relaxing?) time is spent at either at the gym or going to games. Looks like both are still some way off (I knew that football would be but was hoping for a bit of positive news for gyms).

My wife can drag me to the Overgate next week though. Yay.

Nice of him to let us all know what the Canary Islands are made up of.

Heard this more or less all day

No problem.

“All non cohabiting partners can form extended households without physical distancing.” - does this mean couples who live apart in their parents home can now stay with each other? I know previously they had said that a bubble could be formed if both lived on their own.

Pleased with the confirmation of the previous indicative date for meeting indoors with other households. It's round to see friends tomorrow night that we haven't seen for months. As good as it will be to see them again it will also be good to see someone other than Mrs MacLean and the cat!

We ate out on Monday and it was nice to see the return of some kind of normality but it was also a reminder of just how much things have changed since March. Things that we might previously have thought unthinkable are now just normal. I don't know if that is a good thing or not.

What does this mean? A capped number of fans allowed soon?

One per row?

Now here’s the Labour guy, Father Stone.

I’m going to presume that they plan to have small groups in for friendlies to see how distancing works before getting the approval.

You don't think it's a pandemic?

I remain to be convinced. Far too much contradictory science. I'm not saying the deaths aren't real, they clearly are.

Tin foil hat pish.

Not at all. I live in a highly densely populated Country with the oldest populus in the world that has had cases of covid19 before Europe or America, had no enforced lockdown and yet had no spike in deaths whatsoever.

My own situation highlights this, being high risk with neutrophils of less than 1000, yet still attending a designated Covid19 treatment hospital for fortnightly chemotherapy. I've also continued to work (like everyone else) throughout.

Compare and contrast this with the UK/USA where the death toll has been huge in spite of all the lockdown restrictions.

Exactly. I mean, I think we should have been wearing masks then as well, but now we're being told to mix and go shopping and stuff, it seems even more important.

Tbh Im not sure wtf either us or WM were doing not mandating masks from early on. British culture wouldn't stand for masking is such a fucking buck passing pathetic line.

Hats off to surgeons and nurses who repeatedly breathe in their own exhalation all day every day and somehow live to tell the tale.
