DiegoDiego
No, not totally anyway. I do wonder how these celebrity ‘guinea pigs’ are doing. I’m interested in general in what percentage of people will get really sick with pneumonia and need to be hospitalised and what percentage will just get it mild and recover quickly. You're interested in the general percentages so you ask about two individual cases in a sea of thousands?
alta-pete
Aw ffs. That’s jet2 cancelled our annual Spring trip to Fuerteventura. Ragin’. This shit just got real... -

Quick math.

Granny Danger
It may be difficult for people to monitor their temperature as it appears stocks of clinical thermometers have sold out.

supermik
Son and his wife flew to Gran Canaria this morning. Not heard if they have made it there or not. Could be a waste of time if its true that all bars, restaurants, watersports etc have been asked to close

mizfit
Was in Aldi this morning, grabbed my usual shopping. Seen some selfish git with a trolley at the toilet roll aisle emptying the shelves. Hope he suffers from sever constipation.

No doubt there a luxury quarantine holidays on offer now, private beach, minimum contact with regularly tested staff etc. I bet Branson's kicked off his guests from Necker Island, flown his family over and shut down transport links.
Guest
I'm still not getting all the conflicting information they're hitting us with. Is it safe or not to mix with other people ? It appears to me that Mon - Fri it's safe to commute in crowded public transport to get to your job in a City Centre where you work beside hundreds and even thousands in an open plan office where you share toilets and kitchen facilities for 8 - 12 hours per day. However, at the weekend it all changes, it's suddenly unsafe to attend any social events or sports events ?? Does nobody else find this strange ?? I'd also question how Horse racing is deemed to be safe but nothing else is ??? (don't get me wrong I'm glad it is as I like a punt). I also noticed on Sky News last night that the "experts" were telling us that they WANTED us to catch it so we could then build up a "herd immunity". The "expert" reckoned that the plan was for around 70% to 80% to catch it and then that should be enough to eradicate it apparently. (he conveniently failed to mention how many would likely die right enough and wasn't pushed on it). So which is it ? Is it safe to mix with lots of others or not ? Should we be trying to catch it or trying to avoid it ? Honestly, I'm at a complete loss as to what's actually going on in this country !!!

My missus says she saw folk taking full trays of tinned goods this morning. Fucking full trays. What's wrong with people?

Honestly, I'm at a complete loss as to what's actually going on in this country !!!It's a very tricky balance involving all you've mentioned and more.We need the economy to tick along as close to normal as possible, otherwise we have shortages and desperate people losing incomes. But we also need to limit the spread, so as not to overwhelm the nhs and instead try to balance out the problem. No easy decisions. Read the advice carefully, and do what you think is necessary for your circumstances.
