No toilet roll which is disappointing as I had planned to buy 50 packs. Lots of tinned foods and dried pasta, which are meant to be the panic buyers specialities, however. Will you be using lasagne sheets to wipe your arse?

stevieKTID
It's getting serious here in Amsterdam, the normally relaxed Dutch have started panic buying toilet paper and dried pasta, we're all doomed.
19QOS19
Don't get why loo roll is in such demand. If all these dicks are stocking up on and eating pasta they won't be shitting for days anyway.
welshbairn
Apparently the toilet roll hoarding craze started in Asia with people buying it to make diy face masks. Now people globally are terrified they'll have to wash their arses instead of smearing them with paper.

That's almost double the rate of inflation and the only part of government spending that has been treated this way. https://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk/uk_national_healthcare_analysis Why do people mindlessly repeat this shite? Oh, this might be why Wow look the right hand line is double the size of the other ones, and it's red that must be good. It's a well established fact that annual 1-2% budget increases of late are far behind both what has been the case for decades and far below what is needed, as local health authorities are unanimous in saying they are being forced to make unsustainable cuts to front line services. As you well know, there are a host or reasons why a ~1% increase in abstract doesn't come close to telling the full story, nor being sufficient. If your wee graph helps you sleep at night then that's great. Enjoy.

dirty dingus
Shetland are closing their schools and pre schools/nurseries from Monday, the islands have a pretty high infection rate for such a small population.
Todd_is_God
As infectious as this clearly is, I think the death rate is massively overstated. There will be many people with mild symptoms everywhere who did not get tested, have since recovered, and will be none the wiser. Here in the UK we are now actively not testing people with mild symptoms so any figures coming out of here will be wildly inaccurate.
