A few interesting cases in Singapore. Two returning Work pass holders (husband and wife) returning from their home in the Philippines after attending one of their sick mothers (who subsequently died of pneumonia, but was diagnosed with COVID-19), both test positive on return. A similar case with someone arriving from Indonesia.

Quelle surprise that the virus may be more widespread in both countries than their testing ability shows.

Quite sure a lot more isolation and extreme measures going to be in place soon.

The economic fall out and pressure on healthcare systems could be very serious indeed.

Stiff upper lip and all that!

It's a question we are asking here - there have been 7 or 8 cases connected to the Philippines in other countries yet we are only reporting 40 odd cases here.  And 2 deaths from that 40 odd - hmmm? Anyhow, we both know how it works here so what to do?

Usually at Cheltenham, but as I’m working I’ve booked hospitality at Aintree this year instead. It’s is now almost certainly not going to go ahead!
Got tickets for the euros final, which is looking like it’s also not going ahead.
If my summer holiday is affected on top of all this, it’s fair to say I’ll be apoplectic.
My mate’s spent a small fortune booking his wedding in Spain, for September, he’s getting slightly worried but I’d like to think it’ll all be knocked on the head by then.

Malaysia should push through 150 official cases today. We've also had our first 'sporadic' case - not linked to any of the previous or imported cases. Confirmation of what has really been known for weeks, that the virus is moving in the population.

The government is recommending an end to all mass gatherings, but that doesn't seem to be legally enforced yet, and they are appealing to 10,000, yes, 10,000 people who attended a recent religious event at a mosque in KL to get tested or self-isolate.

I can see time off work on the horizon.

Testing will just not exist in the provinces in either country and probably no point in trying as the healthcare would never be able to cope. The plus side is it may not reach some provincial areas. I am a bit concerned for the wifes’ family as they would be in that boat.

For the main centres and tourist places, Manila, Boracay, Puerto Princesa, Cebu and Jakarta and Bali, I’d be surprised if it hasn’t taken root.

These two scenarios from Singapore kind of answer the question. Sweep, sweep.

Cancelled being in Indonesia two weeks ago as two of the people from one company were down the flu and other virus (but not Covid-19) and cancelled being in Manila/Cavite this week.

Your in that provincial bracket as well, so hope it stays away from your world.

Decided not to go to the airport tomorrow to meet my sister and just get her at the hotel, shitebag.

Going to Bangkok already gives me the fear before Coronavirus came along, gives me a sore neck looking at the big high buildings and the flying trains.  Country fucking bumpkin that I am. Not to mention seeing all those foreign  looking faces.

Just after Cheltenham though.

Strongest Nap of the week - Banning of large public gatherings announced by Johnson 10 minutes after the final race tomorrow.

Except for Scotland.  Wait until 2pm Sunday.

Of all the famous folk in the world, it infects one of the least c*nty. FFS.

He managed to survive on a desert island for a couple of years and living in an airport for months and months. Self isolation will be a doddle for him.
