The loony fringe were the clowns in the Scottish Government who pushed 'Zero Covid', and who were still going on in March about masks and Covid-passes being essential long-term, even as it was becoming abundantly clear that sensible nations around Europe were already rolling this back and consigning it to history. Equally howling at Wee Bully's new found commitment to ensuring rigorous debate, learning lessons, and making things up. We'll just forget all that simping trying to defend the Scottish Government's tombola decision making on a weekly basis! I was on the right side of history in March 2020 - the side that won and got normal life back. The loony fringe are the ones who wanted permanent societal change. They lost, and lost badly.

Why would they or how could they? They didn't shut schools or other early learning related activities. The conditions that are being blamed as the cause in the UK literally didn't exist in Sweden. There is an abundance of evidence that Swedish children suffered no learning loss even when compared to other Nordic countries.
Elixir
Meanwhile, could the CCP finally be losing control? Something is surely going to have to give soon.

There is an abundance of evidence that Swedish children suffered no learning loss even when compared to other Nordic countries. Give us a reference to this “abundance of evidence”. If you are right, I’ll hold my hands up. You specifically stated that Sweden don’t have a problem with increased child speech delays. You must have seen data that you are basing that statement on. Of course, if you can’t back it up, that will be because you just made it up to “win” an argument / make a point on an Internet forum. Which is it?
NorthernLights
Quote A man who broke Covid lockdown rules by serving wine and mince pies at a shooting club, then later attempted to destroy evidence, has been jailed. Licence holder Maurice Snelling broke tier three restrictions at Cloudside Shooting Grounds in 2020. At the time, venues in Staffordshire were only allowed to operate as a takeaway or a drive-through. Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard the 72-year-old claimed his premises was in Cheshire, which was in tier two. The rules there allowed customers to consume alcohol inside a venue if accompanied by a substantial meal. Snelling, of Cloudside, had pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice at an earlier hearing and was sentenced on Tuesday to six months in prison. He had claimed that because the grounds had a CW12 postcode he had not breached regulations, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-stoke-staffordshire-63570308 Scum, sub-human scum etc etc etc.

And it's that abundance of evidence that WB was asking for you to provide. Actually, a quick look around found lots of sources touting Swedish children suffered no learning loss…but the actual study says “no significant learning loss”… Call me cynical, but I’d like to see their statistical work to show how they determined significance, because they didn’t cite those numbers in the news release.

NorthernLights
Quote Protests against Covid restrictions in China appear to have intensified in the wake of a fire which killed 10 people in an apartment block in Urumqi. Thousands of people took to the streets of Shanghai to remember the victims and demonstrate against restrictions. Many were heard calling for President Xi Jinping to resign. The BBC has seen at least three people being bundled into police cars. The lockdown of blocks of flats has been blamed for deaths in the fire. While Chinese authorities deny it was the cause, officials in Urumqi did issue an unusual apology late on Friday, and pledged to "restore order" by phasing out restrictions. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-63771109

Elixir
Fantastic to see people in China finally making a stand against authoritarianism under the guise of 'public health'. Indeed, some of these measures were supported by certain high-profile proponents of The Science™. Elixir
Moreover, and tragically, due to the Commie's in China prioritising such measures and their lack of effective vaccines, coupled with their decision to shun the use of western developed ones, it is going to lead to an horrendous situation - not dissimilar to what was seen previously in Hong Kong. A massive, colossal L for the Gurdasani's of this world. -
