beesher
Was feeling a bit rough last night but put it down to a stinker of a hangover. Decided to take a lateral flow on the off chance and it’s came back positive.Feeling pretty shit but no worse than a bad cold, I’ve now got a week of sitting with my feet up.

Exactly why testing needs to be ditched.

Bairnardo
Well that's the vaccine passports scrapped here. A step in the right direction.Wonder what the cost of their implementation was. Given that its not been worth a tenner of the public purse, we can safely call it a catastrophic waste of money.

pozbaird
If secondary school pupils don’t need to wear facemasks in schools, why do adults need to wear facemasks in shopping centres or nipping into a B&Q for a tin of emulsion for another three weeks or so? Something in Oaksoft’s last post. Given the turn of events in the world over the past week, given fuel prices, given energy prices, given everything… we’ll still have people worried about not obeying a rule that sees them need to slap a piece of patterened pish over their face in order to simply walk into a huge building like Braehead or Silverburn. I swear, in the name of anything good.

Went to the cinema tonight at Silverburn, no one wearing them there and only a few walking around the shops. Have they ever disclosed what the exact reason was for March 21? Just remarked to my wife there that I was the only mask wearer in the shop (out of 6, including the cashier) wearing a mask this morning.

As we keep saying, it’s your choice. Nothing to stop you bringing out the hazmat suit or the WW2 gas mask. -

Given that its not been worth a tenner of the public purse, we can safely call it a catastrophic waste of money. Quote In May 2021 National Services Scotland (NSS) appointed Netcompany to deliver a digital solution for Covid Status Certification in Scotland also known as the Covid Status App. The original contract amount was £600,000 but this has recently been increased to £1.2m (+ VAT) to accommodate wider scope of work. In November 2021 National Services Scotland (NSS) appointed Jumio to provide the identity verification element of the Covid Status App. This contract for a value of up to £3.3 million represents the total potential cost of ID verification, depending on use, not the actual amount spent. Actual spend on that contract is anticipated to be significantly lower and will be calculated at the end of the scheme. https://www.gov.scot/publications/foi-202100252298/ So at least £5.5 million and absolutely no evidence before or after implementation that the passports did anything to reduce infection rates, have any sort of impact on hospital/ICU admissions or deaths. The school kids still need a patch of cloth over their faces on the school bus, in corridors and the like. Only in class can it come off. The absurdity of these rules gets me. Like me heading to the gym, wearing a mask from my car to the gym door, then working out for an hour in a big room full of maskless people, then sticking it back on to go back to the car.
