Her fanboys who willingly went out to bat for her on the virtuousness boat must be feeling like right fucking plums this afternoon.

No chance. They’ll believe there will be a seismic change in rates between now and masks being dropped, otherwise Mammy wouldn’t allow them to be dropped, like the reckless Tories.

Spoiler alert: there won’t be any change.

Re keeping masks until 21 March the obvious and easy question she has to answer is why not the 20th, or 19th or 18th or...... etc.....

There is absolutely no scientific justification for picking a random date. It is a 100% political decision to just be different from Boris.

It’s completely arbitrary IMO. It’s 27 days from now. Why not just the 28th of this month like the vaccine passports?

It's sad how many people have been completely broken over the last 2 years tbh.

The amount of people(especially old boys) who stand planted to the spot with an utter look of fear in their eyes as you have the audacity to walk past near them on the way into a shop is unreal.

When everyone starts wiseing up and fling their masks to f**k alot of people are going to have near mental breakdowns I'd imagine.

Not sure what your point here is.  I resigned from the party when the pre Christmas extra restrictions were announced as they were clearly not required.

Does that mean that agree with much else the moonhowling Main Players say?  Nope, but then I’m not as obsessed as you - I’m just getting on with life.  Frankly the current restrictions have very little impact on that.

The passports must be the biggest white elephant of this whole charade.

Not even close to "Track and Trace"

Billions spent on outsourcing firms to have folk sitting in call centres doing nothing. Hardly anyone was getting phoned up.

The only time Track and Trace did anything was when they turned on the fire hydrant of alerts and kept perfectly healthy people in the house with ping.

If the Scottish mask rule relaxation is the same as we saw down here in England, this is what you can expect to see:

week 1 the majority will still wear then (70%ish). A lot of virtue signalling and funny looks towards non-maskers.

Second week it drops by 10%-15%. Same again the next week and the next week after that.

By the end of April hardly anyone will be wearing them.

“High risk” can only be certain clinical settings at this stage imo. Trying to justify anything else is a farce.
Johnson's announcement yesterday said testing would still be maintained for specific settings. Sturgeon's shift to "targeted testing" today doesn't look any different.

I suppose it'll come down to the detail.
