Left Back
Happened to leave the parliament channel on after PMQ's and there's a debate about lifting restrictions in England. During the debate it's surprising me how many MP's are saying "438 people died yesterday from Covid". They can't all be that stupid surely and must be mis-representing it deliberately?

Maybe by summer we'll be seeing the majority walking around mask-free. Maybe. Have to agree with @virginton earlier that while this would be great to see, it’s no consolation to the staff in workplaces forced to keep them on due to internal policy, based on government guidance. Donathan
Apparently Ian Blackford and other SNP MPs are outraged at the dropping of masks. Why do they even care? It doesn’t apply in Scotland

It doesn’t apply in Scotland Haven't you realised by this point that MSPs have to be seen to care about everything and everyone even if what their caring about doesn't affect them.

And given that she's more than 7 years into the role and looking broken by the last 2 years, it's reasonable to assume that she'll be gone before legally enforced masking is removed. Whilst I agree with the sentiment, I think as other countries start to remove mandatory masks by the middle of the year, Scotland will quickly become an outlier, leaving her with little choice. Going to guess Northern Ireland will move next out of the UK. The fact the opposition seem more willing to challenge her now will also help.

No idea how many have actually died due to Covid.
