Apparently the Welsh have a mega 3m quid fund to support sporting venues/clubs

Now imagine how much will be needed here if they pull the same stunt.

I dont think they can afford a full shutdown.   They will probably go capacity reduction and shaft the non league teams from tier 6 down the way.

Either way can see a few clubs going to the wall as the finances are  not there to fund closed doors.

Irrespective it would be a terrible decison from the SG in their race to show how deeply they care whilst yet again ignoring the science about outdoor transmission when it suits.

Incredibly its a scene being replicated by so many governments.   An indication really that so many of our leaders are truly clueless and two years down the line are still in the dark about how to manage the situation without draconian reactionary decisions which continue to f**k the life's of those they claim to represent.

Mind vaccines were the way out of this.  Haha what a lie.

The protect the NHS pish makes me laugh.  Its amazing how for the last 30 years there was no mention of this despite every winter seeing a crisis.  Now it suits them to use covid as an excuse to cover years of under investment in front line services.

A dreadful time and not helped by the mutant 6th rate press.  Still not to worry let's stop all activity again and destroy the leisure industries and hospitality sectors completely this time.  Let's totally destroy people's mental health.

Maybe we can all get another 3 or 4 vaccines before repeating the cycle next winter.

I'm completely sickened by this and can only hope any announcements on new restrictions aren't as punitive as the Welsh but I fear the worst today.

I will be delighted if I'm wrong but have absolutely zero confidence in the leadership of the SG or that buffoon in WM.

Merry fucking Christmas.

How are you diddling apart from that?

Ex government advisor on bbc news this morning:

”what would you say to people who are triple vaccinated, testing regularly and have no symptoms who feel they are entitled to socialise or go to the pub?”

”being triple vaccinated doesn’t 100% stop you getting the virus”

FFS. Just fucking shut everything down forever then.

Hopefully this is just another "Look at me, give me attention" from wee Sturgeon the ego maniac with lots of "we strongly advise " which will be roundly laughed at but just can't see it, restrictions coming our way imo.
Yep. And as they have confirmed that the money used to pay for them is sinply next years money brought forward, we can all look forward to cuts to things that actually matter in order to pay for some utterly pointless, back of a fag packet restrictions now to salve her rampant ego.

So what’s the fucking point of getting it?

Aw I am so far done with this, she will be frothing at the mouth to close those big bad football stadiums today, but make sure 94 year old Ethel can still go and sit inside a nice, warm church.

Heads gone etc…

They're really not playing straight with us at all are they. People are beginning to notice though. Even questions like that are much better than we are used to. Unfortunately, once again, we are relying on English media holding English MPs and "experts" to account as the picture up here is depressingly similar to a year ago where Sturgeon simply cannot be called on anything.

The riposte should just be “you are correct, if you think that people should be living their lives with the sole objective of avoiding catching a virus they are already fully vaccinated for, is that the case?”

Last day of work today.

We're not having a Christmas party, but will all be sitting in the office getting shitfaced while Brian from Accounts talks to everyone about work. Apparently that's OK

Bring some cheese and turn it into a business meeting.

Yep, there needs to be a permanent lock down or permanent level 4 restrictions if that's the case.

I'd like to see some data for the real world impact that forcing Newport County against Swindon Town to be played behind closed doors will have on the Welsh NHS.

Just as I would expect to see the same if/when the FM follows suit up here.

Absolutely sick of the theatre.

And yet Newport Cardiff and Swansea fans can attend away games 😀

Yeah, there are still some people who have an odd little scrap of zero covid still swimming around their mind, influencing them and causing them to say and do things that are completely irrational
