So they’re worried about the cases resulting in staff shortages so what they’re going to do to resolve it is force triple fucking dosed people to isolate because they might still transmit it even after a negative test.

Did I pick that up right cause surely that’s the most arse fucking backwards way of doing it?

Except for essential staff, pretty surprised Scotrail don't come into that tbh.

Let's be honest we should be promoting the home office staff, bankers and old firm football clubs to continue their Christmas parties with renewed vigor.

Is our health service really so shite that it can't handle a slight increase in sick people? Given we averaged about 7,000 delta cases per day in September and she didn't care, why are we suddenly worried about Omicron if it is "a smaller percentage" that they anticipate being hospitalised.

Cannot believe she wants to bomb the economy again because people might get a bit sick.

Arseholes.

And here I am once again having to rely on the utter slimeball Tories I so despise to stop NS from being able to lock us down. Depressing.

You know what I hate about that?

The fact that she didn't announce anything of note, but made sure to end with "we can't rule out further measures being introduced soon."

It's an absolutely horrid feeling having that looming over you.

They absolutely love having people in the constant fear-limbo of not knowing when their lives will be stopped again. The taste of control has been too good and they are going to fight tooth and nail to keep it.

Constantly hinting at peoples livelihoods potentially being stopped at the drop of a hat, and hosting these impromptu fear sessions is not in any way acceptable.

Apparently the hospitalisations are going to be the same with delta. The dentist said so. I mean, all evidence from around the globe contradicts this, but we’re gonna plough on with this utter pish.

Given the current doubling rate, either it’s going to burn through the susceptible population in the next 4-6 weeks or it’ll be stopped by a lockdown before then. The only way it will be stopped is if the UK Government decide to call a lockdown and reintroduce furlough.

All these half-measures will do nothing other than maybe slow the peak down to 6 weeks away rather than 4.
